Zmargdos Island placed in southern Tyrrhenia (Map of Tyrrhenia by GiuseppeZee on DeviantArt ) in southern Sea at planet Artemis (Map of planet Artemis by GiuseppeZee on DeviantArt ) is known for its rough terrain with many limestone canyons, rock tower towns, cliffs. This rough terrain is home to many endemic species living at cliffs, rock towers.

Deep valleys and cliffs are often separating endemic species living in neighboring valleys. Due to such terrain, island is also very sparsely inhabited - communities live almost exclusively only in small villages, which were founded be refugees, who were searching shelter in inaccessible terrain, or by people, who settled here with aim to collect plants important for production of antibiotics (those plants are growing at several rock towers).

Only rarely are at island placed such flat large meadows like this one at the picture. This meadow is placed at the bottom of large polje (Polje - Wikipedia ) which is completely surrounded by cliffs and rock towers. Meadows at polje are managed by local farmers, who is living here in solitude connected by other communities only by narrow dangerous paths crossing cliffs and rainforests.
