Terra Aonia (Map of Terra Aonia and Regnum Syriae by GiuseppeZee on DeviantArt ) is autonomous country belonging to country Nereidia placed in southern hemisphere of planet Artemis (Map of planet Artemis by GiuseppeZee on DeviantArt ). Terra Aonia is placed in temperate zone, but very far from larger sea. Therefore winters are harsh and with few precipitation and also in rest of year are precipitation low (however under some specific conditions can fall up to 3 meters of snow in mountains close to Mare Nereidum in directions of winds in autumn, when it is already freezing in mountains, but temperature difference between sea and mountains is not so large, and sea is not frozen yet - it is like lake effects in US near Ontario lake and other Great lakes). Only in few parts of Terra aonia are growing trees, not dense forest, but parts are covered by solitary pine trees and loose forest.

Such combination of old dwarf pines, high summits and lakes is attractive for many tourists, therefore high mountains around Aonian basin are very attractive destination for tourists.
