Description Somebody asked me why the drawings are so unrealistic.

When I drew this, I wanted to style the pictures after Sir John Tenniel's, which I did partially. . . but I also wanted images both unique and stylized, unlike 'mainstream' comics. I also chose to use mostly enclosed boxes for frames to give it an "old style comic" look, using very few open panels.

Because Alice is so iconic, as long as I maintain a continuity of recognizability, I can draw her differently in each frame. I also had an amazing freedom where I didn't have to conform to strict anatomy, but could draw with emotional disrtortion. It is linear performance art.
