It's Fisk! Everybody loves Fisk :] for the most part, anyway.Rambling time :]
I think Fisk's motivation for his apprenticeship differs from Wyrm. They both want to learn and improve ofc, that's the whole point of an apprenticeship. For Wyrm, this was his greatest desire, to the point he would go behind Apothy's back, or against his judgement, just to learn faster. Fisk, on the other hand, isn't trying to rush in that sense. He tends to rush in general, sure, but he respects Apothy's authority on the matter, maybe a bit too much at times even. Magic isn't something Fisk sees as a necessity to his life. He finds it exciting and enchanting, no pun intended. Wyrm may have even started with similar intentions, but Apothy's continuous safe guarding and disapproval only managed to motivate Wyrm further.
Apothy is a lot less restrictive with Fisk now, but he's still prone to worry for the worst. He isn't sure how to get that concern across without escalating things like with Wyrm's case, but it comes from a place of genuine care. He knows first-hand how dangerous developing magic can be, anyway.
