no. they're not. it's a mere drawing of some foxhounds taking down a wolf. it's not hating wolves, and it's not insinuating anything. and that person isn't doing anything cruel.

BAWWW Yes, of course wolves rule. You just keep telling yourself that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyDunkelion In reply to Paper-Crown [2011-08-10 21:08:42 +0000 UTC]

I don't tell myself; I know it's ture, in my opinion, and if you have different that's fien with me.
Because murdering animals is just like murdering people.
So if you have different opinions, go right ahead, but I keep my opinion because to me; wolves do indeed rule.

*sigh* Look, I respect your right to an opinion and I know you are happier in your stubborn ignorance. I suppose some people prefer living life with their eyes closed.
I don't think hunting animals is like murdering people.
Murder doesn't even apply to animals- go look it up in a dictionary.

But the one thing that really irritates me is that you claim you "know it's ture" to quote you exactly. You don;t know it's true. Because going by your logic, I "know" that wolves do not rule. You see my point?

-He yawned, his jaws opening to their widest and he snapped them closed quickly, his teeth make a clicking sound as they snapped together. He then stretched out, his limb's muscles stretching out due to the nice eight hours of sleep he had had.- true*
My sense of logic is my sense of logic. But why do you have to argue? It's our opinions fighting against each other, and it's not going to win out. It's going to become neutral.
Well the dictonary is in the other person's mind, and to me, murdering goes both ways in the animal world. I don't care what the dictonary says.
But I'm an animal lover and I'm actually against hunting all creatures (yeah hippi-sih whatever) and so I would never go hunting.
But wolf hunting is what I'm totally against.

Paper-Crown In reply to EbonyDunkelion [2011-08-10 21:40:32 +0000 UTC]

I'm an animal-lover too. And I am a bit of a hippie. So don't use that in an attempt to make yourself seem superior to me or more morally correct. Also, please do not put on this 'diplomatic act' in an attempt to win other people's favour either.
And who ever said I was arguing? And I don't have to discuss this with you either. It is my choice. And why post your strong opinions in a public place if you are not willing to discuss it with anyone?
And i'm not fighting either. And this will not end in neutrality. It will end with both of our beliefs just being strengthened by this 'confict'. It's how these things work.

I don't have an issue with your opinions, I just have an issue with your narrow mindedness and your generally hostile-seeming words. You might not be trying to be hostile, but you give me the impression that you are, even you are attempting to hide it.
Either way, please don't take offense at me. I'm sure we'd get along in any other situation.

EbonyDunkelion In reply to Paper-Crown [2011-08-10 21:56:11 +0000 UTC]

Probably X3
But I apologize for making it seme I was trying to act superior over you, when I really don't give a fuck if I'm higher or lower, I prefer to take lower because of my low self-esteem, but anyways.
This has seemed to go from wolf hunting to opinions to talking about what we personally think about stuff.
So I'm not really going to respond to this anymore becasue they has turned from our discussion to opnions and my 'narrowed minded-ness.'

Please say this is a troll account o-e

And why can't we hunt Gray Wolves in areas where they are plentiful and even overpopulated?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyDunkelion In reply to Seitar [2011-07-06 04:49:15 +0000 UTC]

Because you can move the wolves to the ares of overpopulated deer or elk, other then sending hunters out.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Paper-Crown In reply to EbonyDunkelion [2011-08-10 17:42:06 +0000 UTC]

So it's fine for the deer and elk to die... but not the wolves?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyDunkelion In reply to Paper-Crown [2011-08-10 21:06:33 +0000 UTC]

Deer and Elk are an anter creature and they over populate quickly due to the leaves and foliage. But wolves do the same; more of their food source, more of them.
But hunting wolves is wrong because they have to work together to take care of each other, otherwise the pack could die and be caused to loose a number of wolves.
Lone wolves could be killed, because they have a smaller chance of living, other then wolves in a pack.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Paper-Crown In reply to EbonyDunkelion [2011-08-10 21:10:00 +0000 UTC]

Wolves overpopulate too.
And I don't think hunting wolves is wrong at all. You do realise herds of deer rely on each other too, don't you?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyDunkelion In reply to Paper-Crown [2011-08-10 21:14:32 +0000 UTC]

In my opinion they hardly do.
As I said before, wolves overpopulate due to their food sources.
But I've got another part ot argue, wolves depend on each other greatly and they always go to the sick, weak, or injured ones to help maintain the herd, but if none of that is there, they go for the next weakest.
And they are nature. Mother Nature intended them this way, while humans aren't natural and use weapons to kill their prey. It's more natural for wolves to hunt, other then humans to hunt.
That's my opinion anyways, so you don't have to go and diss it, because otherwise you'll just be hurting yourself ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Paper-Crown In reply to EbonyDunkelion [2011-08-10 21:33:59 +0000 UTC]

Firstly, no, I don't think I will be "hurting myself". And I don't diss, I debate.

Now that that's cleared up, let me begin. *ahem*.
Well, you cannot have an opinion that differs from known fact without being wrong. Deer rely on each other. Fact.
I realise that wolves rely on each other too, but so do many other species of animal.

And humans are just as much a part of nature as wolves or any other species are.
See, look at this:

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Primates
Family: Hominidae
Genus: Homo
Species: Sapiens
Subspecies: Homo Sapiens Sapiens AKA Humans

We are part of nature. It's just that though evolution our species happened to be the one that grew a larger brain and began to develop intelligence beyond that of our fellow species.
Would you consider ancient humans hunting with sharpened sticks unnatural too? Because it's the same thing. Sticks or guns, on the african plains or in european forests, 20,000 years ago or today. It's natural.

Now I'm sure nothing I say or anything anyone else will say will encourage you to be more open minded, but I feel an obligation to at least try and help.

-He yawned once more getting bored.- I don't exactly need some help or whatever. I'll gladly keep my small mind.
And I know deer and wolves rely on each other. I've got that point and everything.
Humans don't think of themselves as animals, they like to think of themselves higher, though I'm saying I don't think of that and with how much I see animal abuse, it adds to my opinion. But I'm not saying you think that, because you just showed me that you don't think of yourself higher, just as an equal.
And thanks, but no thanks for your attempt to try to help. Well brb for a few moments, my grandfather is stealing the computer because he's 'gotta check something.'
I hate not having my piece of shit laptop >>

(Oh, and what does them being your favorite animal have to do with anything? O_O)

Well i suppose you could do that, but you can't cure overpopulation just by moving them around. If it was that easy, i'm sure we'd be doing that by now.

But why shouldn't we hunt wolves in general?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyDunkelion In reply to Seitar [2011-07-06 05:03:59 +0000 UTC]

Because, to me, it's like the law saying, "Don't kill other humans." But think abotu it, animals may not have enough knowledge to talk perfectly or walk on two legs, but seriously they can feel, eat, and crap liek that. it's like murdering anoher animal, your species or not. No talking or not. it just annoys me in general.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Seitar In reply to EbonyDunkelion [2011-07-06 05:08:33 +0000 UTC]

Well atleast you aren't one of those people who ONLY don't want Wolves hunted and couldn't care less about other animals.

Well a)murder only applies to humans

And b) Do you eat meat? Hunting is no different or worse than eating a hamburger. Actually, it's better because the animal was free and lived a naturl life instead of being cooped up and abused.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyDunkelion In reply to Seitar [2011-07-06 05:21:14 +0000 UTC]

Good point. I'm not a huge carnivor.
I hate it when people abuse animals. God I would and could really murder those buttwipes who kill and harm animals for just their skins, or bones or whatever. Just using one thing of the animal and then leaving the rest to rot.
But torturing the animal is bad thing and they get sued and sent to jail, thank the Lord for that. I can understand accidently hitting a wolf with a car, but i wouldl ike if they left the edangered animals alone. Who cares abotu their skin and crap. Let them keep it till God decides their long and happy life should end.
But if everyone was like Indians, and used EVERY part of the animal, that's fine with me. but don't kill every anima lfor the skin >.>

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Seitar In reply to EbonyDunkelion [2011-07-06 05:33:37 +0000 UTC]

Well killing an asshole would just bring you down to their level, it's concerning that you'd be willing to kill someone. Even if they're assholes, they could have very nice family and friends who would miss them. Just because they're assholes or did something wrong, doesn't mean they deserve to die.

But i agree with that. Hunting just for fur or bones or what not is wrong. Espeially when it's used to make coats and what not. But if you use everything- bones, fur, meat (people do eat wolf meat) then i believe it's acceptable. I love pelts and bones, but i could never respect someone who would kill an animal just to hang a pelt on the wall.

Torturing an animal is bad no matter what, whether you use the parts or not. There is absoputely no good reason to torture an animal and torturing animals must mean you have something wrong in your head to some degree. Torturing animals at a young age is actually a symptom of a budding serial killer.

And Grey Wolves aren't endangered. I don't know if they ever were, because the IUCN redlist only goes back to '82. But from '82-'94 they were Vulnerable, and then in '94 or '95 they were no longer Vulnerable. Of course, in some areas they are 'endangered' and should not be hunted in those areas, and no truly endangered animal should be hunted at all.

It's ironic that you brought God/The Lord into this because my God/Lord is a God of hunting.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EbonyDunkelion In reply to Seitar [2011-07-06 06:26:38 +0000 UTC]

Wow XD But I do agree with you to some extent. But I have to say the same things with animals. You could hunt wolves and accidently kill the leaders and the whole pack will be put into whack. But if you kill a Omega, it will still hurt the pack in their hunting and in their hearts, since they are tightly put together.
I know the Grey Wolves aren't endangered, but I strayed from the conversation and I was talking of like Lions, Tigers, Leopards. Because if people do KEEP doing this they will be endangered or excint.
But the huntig for bones and teeth. I can understand getting it from an animal that was hit, or died of old age. You then can take the skin and teeth, and possibly get the claws and crap. But seriously I would prefer it if the animal was killed by nature or by a car.
I can't argue about this too much longer becasue we're both kind of right on this.
We need hunting to help keep the Eco-system intact. Though sometimes people could over hunt on it.
But people can sometimes over-hunt and make animals become exctinct.
I'll have to leave for the night soon. My stomach is bothering the shit out of me and my grandparents made the bedtime for me in the mdidle of SUMEMR VACATION >.>

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Seitar In reply to EbonyDunkelion [2011-07-06 06:38:57 +0000 UTC]

Well yes, but Wolves aren't as close to eachother as people like to think. Yes, they are social animals and are generally monogamous. But sometimes they will change mates, sometimes they'll have more than one mate at once. At times when food is scarce, Alphas eat first and the rest can go hungry if there isn't enough.

And ah, okay. There were plenty of people who actually belive Gray Wolves are endangered, so i didn't know. But yes, Endangered animals should be left alone in terms of hunting. I think most people can agree on that.

A lot of Taxidermist get it from sources like that. From animals who were killed by cars, died or were put down for illness, taken for population control, etc. But if someone hunts something- they should use ALL the parts. If you don't want to eat wolf meat? Then don't hunt wolf!

Hunting is regulated to prevent over hunting. Poaching is the real issue in that case.

Take some Tums and sleep it off. Bedtime? Really? Wow -_- especially in the summer? Yikes.
