No, but seriously, Morty goes through a lot of horrible shit with Rick, and despite Rick constantly telling him “Don’t think about it.” I imagine whenever it gets quiet he thinks about all of it. Another reason to throw himself into all kinds of crazy adventures. Take your mind off things. A pretty vicious cycle. I wonder if sometimes when he looks at Rick taking a swig from his flask he thinks that could be him someday.
