She was not beautiful — at least, not in the way most thought as beauty. But yet, none could ever deny the grace with which she held herself, that quiet aura of elegance that followed her and rendered others speechless. She was larger than life, and it suited her.

So, what made him so intrigued by her?

[Name] was just like any normal girls — just like Lily Evans, Marlene McKinnon, Alice Prewett, and he could continue forever naming the girls he had encountered in his sixteen years of life. So, why, was he so interested in her? Sirius didn't know her that much at all — he could only remember her first name, the year she was in, and her House.

Sirius continued to observe her sleeping form — peaceful and tranquil, her breaths slowly pacing in a way that calmed him down. Her face was covered by the bundle of [h/c] locks, and he had to held himself from trying to tuck them behind her ears. She was just sleeping, an open book next to her, and she looked so peaceful.

Both Sirius and [Name] were supposed to study together in Charms, but [Name] had already fallen asleep when she waited for him. Sirius thought for a moment. Did he really make her wait that long? He knew the girl was a patient one — she didn't mind if you were late, but it surely did make him feel bad. Sirius didn't intend for her to wait that long. Or maybe [Name] was just too tired. Yeah, that could be it. After all, she did look like she needed some sleep.

He continued to stare at her. She looked nice. He couldn't deny that.

Maybe if he were to kiss her forehead, then maybe she wouldn't know.

Sirius grunted at that idea. [Name] would be furious if he did that. She would have found out sooner or later. Secrets don't last long. In Hogwarts, that is. Besides, there were other students that could have witnessed the scene. It would be embarrassing. Really, really, embarrassing. It would also cause too much drama. Yeah, maybe it wasn't such a good idea, after all.

Wait, did this mean that he liked her?

Oh, no. No, no, no. That can't be it. He did not like her.

Sirius then stared back again at her sleeping form. Okay, maybe he did like her. A little bit.

“O-Oh! I fell asleep.. Oh.. my, I'm so sorry..”

The boy jumped at her sudden voice. Just when did she wake up?

He chuckled nervously, and he cursed at himself for showing such weakness. In front of a girl, no more less. “It's alright. I didn't mind. I got to read a few things.”

[Name] yawned quietly. “Why didn't you wake me up?”

He shrugged his shoulders loosely and opened his Charms textbook. “I don't know. You look like you needed some sleep. And I was nice enough to let you sleep.” You looked really nice when you sleep, too. He added in his mind.

She looked a bit surprised when he had said that to her, but didn't mention anything about it. Instead, she simply gave him a small smile. “Thank you. I really did need some sleep. I haven't gotten enough sleep lately. Too much studying.”

“You shouldn't stress yourself so much, [Name],”

“Funny how Lily said the same thing.” She said with a laugh. “But I know. I promise I won't over-work myself again. It's just a habit, you know? I always have this habit of working myself too much, and I can't really stop. It's becoming a bit of a problem.”

He didn't say anything after that. Well, what was he suppose to say?

[Name] then slowly stood up from her chair and gathered her books. “I'm sorry to announce this but — I'll have to postpone our studying today, Sirius. Perhaps we can do it another time. Hopefully, next time, I won't fall asleep again.” [Name] inserted a laugh here. “But, yes. I should head back to the Ravenclaw Common Room. We can meet up sometime.. Say.. what about Wednesday? Does that work for you?”

Sirius only nodded his head. He knew he had detention that day, but he was willing to cancel that just to spend his time with you. Every minute of it. Besides, being with you seemed way more fun than doing Detention chores.

“Wonderful!” She said - though, not too loud. Madam Pince would have kicked her out if she was being too loud. Or anyone, to be in general. She wasn't really the most pleasant people in the school. “See you next time, yeah?”

This time, he finally spoke. “Yeah, see you.”
