Bio: its often pondered how discord and shinning armor became a couple, a very odd pair to see walking through cantorlot with their 14 children. in this world shinning armor and discords paths are nearly identical to their original path, but instead of shinning armor at a young age living in cantorlot and rising to become a high ranked guard, fall in love with cadence become a king of the crystal kingdom. When his younger sister twilight went to enter celestias school for gifted magic users, the rainboom never happened and twilight failed her exam. Twilight and Shinnign parents had pour a lot of money into their educations but with twilights failure they hadnt the money to stay in cantorlot. they even blamed cadance for not being able to sway celestia into letting twilight into the school.
The family would move to ponyville, shinning armor and twilight to never be with candance again.
Shinning armor knew he wanted to be a guard but their was no guard system in ponyville and they didn't have the money to send him to cantorlot.
five years of living in ponyville there was a strain in twilight and shinning armors relationship, they hardly spoke and twilight blamed herself for what happened to their family. she was hardly home and chose to spend her time interning for the mayor. Without warning, twilight had ran away from home and had disappeared into the human world, no one knowing where she had gone. though sad with the loss of their daughter, their parents only supporting shinning armor, had finally earned enough to send him into to guard training in cantorlot. All he had to do was wait for training season to begin again and he'd be on the first train to cantorlot.
in his last month in ponyville, discord god of chaos had taken over ponyville and tried to bring chaos to all of equestria. shinning armor and his family were helpless to the chaos and were lucky to be saved by sunset shimmer and the elements of harmony.
the attack was where shinning armor knew he wanted to guard to be strong and protect equestria from when terrible things like this happened.
At a time when shinning armor became second in command of the guards under flash sentry; discord had arrived in the cantorlot court 'reformed'. shinning armor didnt quiet trust discord as he watched the creature destroy his home years ago, but because of his cold emotions to discord it only drew the draconequus to him. Discord often messed with the royal guard, but his main target was always Shinning armor, calling him uptight and just trying to constantly get his attention. it took a while and a lot of convincing but discord broke through the cold shell and got shinning armor to be friendly and chat with him.
This bond only made it hurt so much more the second time discord nearly destroyed equestria by teaming up with tirek and betraying shinning armor.
after the tirek fiasco shinning armor avoided discord, and with flash sentry's leave to work full time as an element of harmony, Shinning armor became the leading commander of the guards and kept himself constantly busy to avoid discord.
the second time of trying to reconnect with shinning armor was much harder than the first.
discord often went to his best friend cadance for advice since she was suppose to be the princess of love and an element of friendship.
with help from cadance and nudges into shinning armors life shinning armor slowly let discord back in. it felt like eons until they were friends was what could be called mended and this time discord promised his redemption to stay good with a proposal of marriage to the captain of the gaurds.
the two live happy in cantorlot with their litter of rambunctious kids.
