Description
Almost didn't make it, but here it isSo who are these guys? My own versions of Din, Farore, and Nayru, the three goddesses who created Hyrule and its people, as the story goes, as well as the Triforce and its facets, Power, Courage, and Wisdom respectively. The color schemes and elements (fire, air, and water) were already set down by the game lore and I tried to work in some influences of the characters associated with with the particular part of the Triforce in question (ie Ganon, Link, and Zelda). I also tried to work a few influences from the characters of the same name in the Oracle of Ages/Seasons series, since while not the goddesses themselves, they have a kind of connection.
In anycase, this one is for you guys and hope you enjoy. Thanks so very much for another great year, I know I wouldn't be where I am right now without you and even if I am putting in a lot of overtime, I'm having a ball, so thanks from the bottom of my heart. I can't name everyone who has made a difference unless you want to sit here reading forever, but seriously, just being here and giving me someplace to put these bizarre pictures that come out of my head has made the world of difference to me. You guys are the best
(and yes, I am working on getting through the backlog of messages in my box and yes, I do have witnesses to that fact, so if I haven't gotten to you yet, sit tight and I will as soon as I can. I haven't forgotten about any of you out there even if I may be a little quieter that I like to be
Medium: Brown drafting lead on vellum, painting done in Photoshop and Painter.
The characters of Din, Farore, and Nayru are copyright Nintendo.

lol, well, I detest spoilers, so I won't look at the link, but about a month ago, ~lordakiyama brought his Wii over so I could see some of the game, mind you, only through the first temple or so, but I think I saw a little piece of what you're talking about because I kindof did a doubletake, too. Of course, I did this I think litterally just as the game was about to come out, so it's just happy coincidence and a common play off the mandala kind of theme. For me at least, I had in mind the Celtic circles, not that much of a stretch given the look of the games and I'm sure they were thinking along the same lines

That's it, that's what I saw. Hey, I'm giving them points for even acknowledging the Goddesses as anything beyond little balls of light

No complaints except for what's with the symbols in the Triforce? Specifically the Sheikan eye. They have nothing to do with the Triforce.
I suppose you didn't want the Triforce pieces to seem plain, though.
If I were you, I would have just used the symbols of the Spiritual Stones, instead, since they apply better, or the stones from Wind Waker (I forget what they're called.)
Well done!

Woot, Triforce X3!! I really do believe that the Triforce symbol is actually pretty simple yet very exact and constructive.. still with three triangles connecting by the tips, the shape they form together is yet another triangle, aha one of my weird observations XD.. and babbling, sorry XP! But back to your art piece, I really love the part how you made their hair and clothing really flow in unison, and the colors slowly change from one color to the next ! This is a favourite =]!

Awesome! This is the main thing that disapoints me in the Zelda games - they never show the Goddesses... (or at lest their true form.)
