Glowworm class 2nd Line Patrol Cruiser: meaning a light cruiser entirely designed to operate inside the borders of the federation, responding to distress calls and performing anti piracy operations and mainly: disaster relief. This class of ship has been entirely designed to accomodate large ammounts of refugees for its size and ship class. It can function entirely without its secondary hull, and the part of its secondary hull that isnt dedicated to mission bays and the shuttlebay is open quarters, a field hospital, replicators and an emergency transporter. Secondary hull can be removed, much like the saucer seperation technique except the main engineering is in the saucer. Designed circa: 2330Roles:
