It has been two months and it still sometimes doesn't feel real. Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me. I had given up completely, it had been over a decade, there was so much between us...

And yet, despite everything, and with clear and open communication, and an abundance of patience and open minds and open hearts somehow the impossible happened. You told me you loved me, and accepted me as a partner again for the first time since we were kids.

You've changed and grown so much, Angel. You are not the same person I knew and yet you are exactly the same person I fell in love with. I am so excited to get to know you all over again, and to live in the light of this new future we are building, together.

I made this piece for you, I remade a piece of art you made for me a long time ago. It felt right to update it given who we are as people now. We've both blossomed and transformed into totally different people, and that is something to celebrate and to cherish.

So here this exists, out in the open. To remind me every day that this is real, and not something I've fabricated in my mind. To make every comforting word you've told me real. I know you aren't going anywhere. I'm not hiding who we are anymore, I know there is nothing to hide.
