........ You know when people use this argument, it's pretty much just a strawman.

People for secular will insult religion by throwing in Islam, The Old Testament, and cults. But secular itself can be countered with Nazism, Socialism, Communism, Flat World Society, and PETA. When was the last time you heard PETA preaching anything religion related?

Now of course this type of argument is perfectly fine for government/political things. I live in the USA and even though it was technically never a christian ruled nation, I still love it here. We have Freedom of Speech and the right to choose what we want to think. And I would feel pretty uneasy if I live in a country ruled by a single-religion type of authority aka "My and your God specifically chose me because I said so and God also said to ignore the Bible or else I can execute you."

But that's as far as a government should go. I mean preventing direct harm such as violence and theft through laws is the government job, but what about.....

What music we want to listen to?
How should we raise our kids?
What can we own or not?
How should we eat?
How should we use our time?
What kind of job should we have?
Should I see myself as a better person than others?
Who should we love (in my age group who is also outside the family)?
Should we even bother staying in High School?
What can possibly go wrong?

Those are the things the government can't control us on, and that's when Secular vs. Sectarian is mostly used ..... not very well.

"But (Place your world view here) is better because this and that. Also (Secular/Sectarian) is ruining the world because this and that."

And that's pretty much my main point. People will always favor their views over others and ignore any flaws or whatever they themselves are not sure of, even if their right or wrong.

Same can be said for Religion vs. Science

Science made medicine and Religion made the Westboro Baptist Church. Also religion inspires donating and love while science led to pollution and nuclear warfare.

Heck, throw in politics, parent raising, scientific investigation, and did Holo shoot first?

Point being, whatever side you're on and how you handle your arguments, be more specific.
