(click the download button for 4k resolution! Totally worth it to see the details)I've played enough Five Nights at Freddy's 4 that these guys don't scare me anymore! I got to night 5, but then Fredbear instantly got me.... and jeez I'm done.... nope, so much nope! The way he just stands there right in front of you in the hallway is the scariest thing about the game. So, these guys in the picture aren't so bad anymore, relatively
About the picture. This took 3 days in total. I started it on Saturday and did all of the posing..... but then before I got a chance to work on it more on Sunday, Scott uploaded that "Thank You" picture, and this project feel to the wayside. I really wanted to finish it, but I couldn't find the motivation. But I took yesterday off work to catch up on everything I needed to do, so I finally had some free time to work on it more. I did all of the lighting and smoky effects on the second day, and then rendered it while I slept (it took forever because of the high resolution, complicated models, and number of lights).
Oh ... about the lights... I have a record-breaking number of them in this one... exactly 50 lights in total! Can you spot all 50 of them? Each eye is 2 lights, and there are 2 lights on each face. Other lights are scattered about to help give the impression of illumination from the eyes. Then, there are 8 colored area/room lights. My poor computer had so much trouble with this scene lol.
To help get a feel for the lighting work, here's a picture with no scene lights... just 42 eye lights, and the red and blue smoke systems:
Once the picture was rendered, I spent the third day touching up the picture, doing a bit of lighting by hand, and drawing shadows with paint.net. Then, into Adobe Lightroom for the photo editing. The result is rather stunning, I if I do say so myself. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, considering my lapse in motivation.
And, it was also interesting, because as I was posing them on Saturday, I couldn't help but think that most of the characters looked really happy. I wasn't going for that effect, so that's part of why I stopped. But, then, lo and behold.... Scott's picture has them all looking happy and friendly! So, it was perfect for me to continue with the happy look. Freddy still looks boss, and Plushtrap... well let's just say he's had enough "fun" for a while XD. I get him on the X every time, it's really easy. Poor thing. lol.
Oh, and in other news, I got the Nightmare Freddy model from Typhoon Cinema today to match the other three. Drat my timing!! Right after I render the picture with Spygineer's model! I actually went back into SFM and tried to use the new model, but honestly, Spygineer's looked a LOT better for what I was doing here, so I left well enough alone.
Now that this picture is done, I'll be able to get back to work on the "Thank You" SFM remake. I've got almost all of the models I need now, and should have no problem finishing up the picture
It's just going to take me a LONG time.

The thing I don't understand is where's Fredbear and Nightmare?
I don't know if this is just because you only wanted to use Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and Plushtrap, or you just didn't find models for them.

Excellent work as always. I just love the way you render light-effects, particularly when it comes to the eyes of the animatronics: you make it seem like the light's really there, that you can catch it in your hands and revel in the shadows it creates.
Plus, there's the subject matter: I find the idea of the Nightmare Animatronics posing for a group pic, each with a silly grin the size of the Titanic, to be pretty damn funny. There's also so much variety in terms of expressions: Nightmare Freddy just stands there, his arms wide open as if to give the viewer a big hug (or wring the life out of him, whichever comes first); Bonnie and Foxy look so lovable and goofy, as if they're having the time of their hellish lives at Six Flags and took a break to create a memory they'll treasure for years to come. On the other hand, Plushtrap ain't having none of that. He'd rather be devising newer ways to make the kid from FNAF 4 piss himself in utter fear, and don't even get me started on the mini-Freddys: they're also enjoying the best time they've had in ages.
On the other hand, Chica still looks a little creepy, although her smile comes across as sheepish rather than truly scary. I like to think she made that face one night when she just couldn't hold it in anymore and took an unexpected bathroom break. Since she was gone for over an hour and a half, the kid breathed a sigh of relief and decided to hit the john, only to come across a humongous robotic demon-chicken from Hell hogging the toilet; caught with her literal and figurative pants down, Chica grinned like she got hit with Joker toxin and said: "How 'bout I give you (the kid) five bucks and we pretend this never happened?" He nervously nodded and walked away, his skin crawling all over as he ignored a bemused Fredbear and said to himself: "No amount of therapy will ever make this moment okay."
Overall, this is another fine piece you've created. Kinda makes you wish it had made it into FNAF 4.

wow...just...just wow.This is so perfect,so,so,so perfect.One of the best FNaF SFM fanarts on all the whole world i've ever seen.They look so scary and exactly as they are on the game,the shading and luminosity,i only can say wow by the way it's realistic.And their facial expressions...congrats,it's great,my favorites are plushtrap and nightmare Foxy.
My favorite animatronic on this photo was nightmare foxy,first,because he is my favorite fnaf character.Second,his eye and facial expressions looks scary and realistic.And third...his pose XD,holding the plushtrap and showing his hook.It's funny and scary for me.

I don't think I could possibly rate this anything less than 20/20 stars. It's absolutely incredible. Typhoon Cinema's models are stunning as it is, but the posing in this image is spectacular. Scott was really inspired when he designed the characters in this series, but as much as I love Bonnie; there is special heart in Springtrap and Plushtrap (particularly the former). I'm glad he put Plushtrap in the game, even if I absolutely get killed by the little bugger every time XD I'M BEING SERIOUS lol
Anyway, onto the actual critique. The characters really DO look pretty happy in this. It's more of a 'wicked glee' feeling, but it also translates to just plain happiness as well. They seem genuinely pleased to be grouped up for this photo *imagines them trying to scramble into place as the camera goes off* while Plushtrap was dragged into it. Being a different type of character than the others and making him stand out as you did was a very clever idea.
Posing really captured those smiles. And Freddy looks astounding in the back there; bringing everyone together in the image with his FredHeads (what I call them) hanging with the others. My ONLY nitpick is that I wish Freddy was larger in some way. Honest critique here that's not entirely your fault: but Freddy lacks the sort of presence that he deserves from the pose. If he was larger, or maybe a bit darker than the others would be the only thing I could think of to explain what I'm saying.
They all actually seem to be somewhat innocent. All those teeth? But they just want to come say 'hello' to you and make sure you're recovering well. After all...

Yes Plushtrap is very different to me, and you recognized that in the picture
And I know exactly what you mean about Freddy. Ihad the same exact vision when I started this. I wanted him to be bigger and darker and more faded looking.... but I then couldn't fit everything in the space. If I moved the camera up, then most of the picture was too "low" and the composition was wrong. Unfortunately, Freddy's importance got replaced by the others.
Even though they might look terrifying.... that won't stop them from being our friends

It looks good, it has that terror the animatronics give yet nicely appealing
The placement of the nightmare animatronics, Freddy introducing his crew, with his mini versions, they look like their causing mischievous.
Chica and Bonnie giving a welcoming expression and 'ready to kill me' one. Foxy expression looks great. Also Plushtrap pouty expression being held by foxy.
The renders are nicely place and greatly made.
The glowing eyes add more nightmarish look in a way.
The background also adds to the appeal as if you went down an alley and they either want to be friends or kill you on site.

I love it! It is a great art to show the end of the series. This art will get rid of the fears of younger players, who are gonna play fnaf 4. I like the 3d effect that you did on the nightmare animatronics especially the plushtrap and fredlets, it looks like you're making a horror comedy film for younger viewers. other ways good 3d art. you're the best there is around deviant. Keep up the good work

I must say that Chica is the most terrifying character of them all and that little Springtrap is watching us like a boss! That Foxy is still cute with that face for me! xD
Honestly, I don't have played yet on PC but on my cellphone, because I was very scared of it for the trailer and also for playing it on big screen... xD
Finally Mr. Cawthon made a real scary game better than the third one and the others two, in my opinion..

Ok, were to begin with this... So far I'm REALLY impressed with the lighting effects on the animatronics metallic body although Freddy looks a little less textured, Also the wonderful glowing eyes is the best impact. So far this IS indeed original and I can't even find the actual models on the workshop! XD
Next I can see some great posing especially Foxy, the cute Plushtrap trying to be like the big kids! And of course the "somewhat-threatening" Mini Freddies who act kinda like little puppies such as the one in Chica's chest.
The background was also a nice touch although I have no idea how you do it when you're supposed to use maps in SFM.
To improve It would look cooler with a vinette (The darken edges, I don't know how to pronouse it).
But I gotta hand it to ya Toby, it takes alot of effort to get this done (especially try to fold their arms, well, its more tricky in Gmod because of no collision with themselves). As I can say, I am greatly impressed.
Good work, the young nave who returned to his quest has become a purified paladin.

Yeah Freddy's texture is different because it was made by a different person.... but it still somehow fits.
And the background IS made in SFM.... it is a map
And yes vinette is the right term. I did put a little bit on it, but I put less than normal, because the lighting is all from the sides, and too much vinette was killing the effect and making the lighting source look confusing.
As much as I'd love a no clipping option in SFM, clipping does come in handy a lot
But I'm still on the quest! It never ends!!

DUDE!!! I have never seen better FNaF work than this! It is ridiculously worth it to download it for the 4k! It looked amazing! I really like how you added the sharp claws, which Scott removed from the actual game. Honestly, keep up the good work! I would absolutely LOVE to see more amazing work like this one! The shine of light in their eyes, the design of the animatronics, and the look of Plushtrap, it's just amazing. I have no other words for this. I could never pull off a picture like this whether it was computer art, whatever software you use, or any type of art. Keep up the awesome work, dude!

I love how the glow in their eyes have that ray effect around them which just makes them stand out more. I also like how Freddy is standing over them like, "Meet my pretties," or something like that. (Ugh, I can't think, AND my keyboard's messing up, darn it. XD)

Man, Gold, you've just made a terrifying masterpiece! I love this picture, it shows the Fazbear crew as Nightmare animatronics: They all look scary and menacing with their Sharp teeth and Claws! I mostly like how you made the Nightmare poses: Freddy's the Cruel and sinister Freddy Krueger, Bonnie and Chica are creepy with their glowing eyes, and Foxy's looking very bloodthirsty and violent with that sharp hook!
