Download for 4k size!Finally.... for the first time in five months.... an actual Five Nights at Freddy's picture again! I took a break from personal renders of myself for some good ole fanart
(sorry to all who thought that my journal was an April Fool's joke Going to make FNAF pics againLast FNAF pic I made was 5 months ago:
...decided it's time to get back to it!
Yay or Nay? ... Does anyone care anymore? lol
(sorry this is so short, I have to go to work in 30 minutes and I haven't slept... the usual) because it wasn't)
I've wanted to make another decent Springtrap picture for months now. And with lots of my friends doing Springtrap pics, and receiving a new model from EverythingAnimations , I decided it was time!
This is just a simple picture really, but I'm more about photography than action and stuff. Springtrap is my most favorite FNAF character of all the games, because he's got such a creative story that really brings the franchise together. That, and the idea of PurpleGuy's death and soul entrapment is intriguing for sure. A living nightmare.
I went pretty crazy with the lighting, material overrides, and particle systems here. It was really fun to be able to create something like this again! I had trouble rendering it though, since the eye effects wouldn't show up. I eventually got it, and created a composite image to get the full pic. The render was then edited in Adobe Lightroom, like always. I put my name on in paint.net. Otherwise, everything you see is done in SFM, like usual. lol
Though... I did want to say one thing, concerning all of this mess/drama going around about EverythingAnimations , his models, and who he chooses to give them to. EA is perfectly free to give his own models to who he wants.
However, I am sensitive to the negative reaction that most people were having, and I didn't want to bring any hate or resentment upon myself. No need to trigger people. I'm here to make people happy. Therefore, I did NOT use the new model. This is EverythingAnimations OLD Springtrap model! Besides, EA hasn't properly ported his new model to SFM yet (probably never will), so it has issues. His model is amazing in it's native program, but it's very lackluster in SFM. The other models are better in my opinion. So, everyone can stop being so upset that they don't have the model. The port was only meant as an April Fool's joke, not to be taken seriously, and we only got the model to make some teaser renders for his joke upload on the Steam workshop. There are already plenty of wonderful Springtrap models, including this one and a newer model by Mistberg . So.... for those of you who are going around hating on all of us Pimps because of certain people's actions, you really should think before you generalize. Just because I don't wear the pimpsuit anymore, doesn't mean I'm not still a pimp, and it doesn't mean that they aren't still my friends. It upsets me to see all of the hate and salt getting flung back and forth, but what can I do about it, stuck in the middle. I try my best, for sure.
Anyways... this picture was great fun to make, and I'm happy to finally share FNAF content again
PS feel free to unwatch me if you wish to no longer see pictures like this. I know I have a lot of watchers, and most of them don't care anymore, so I will not be hurt if those who have moved on or lost interest leave.
Previous Springtrap art, which I still love

Is it wrong of me that when you said "A living nightmare" in the description, I thought of Nightmare Animatronics just chasing Springtrap around the Fazbear`s Fright and all?
This aside, really really impressive. Boy, when old models are being used like that, they really shine, no joke. Dat plushie in the foreground tho. I C youuuu!

Ohoo, so then we pretty much have a hide-and-seek games inside the images as well? Nice, since hidden things and (potential) Easter Eggs are what add to them as well beside the entire atmosphere and all. No problem at all and well, if you wish you can use that idea for any of your future images, I won`t mind it at all.
As for the pun, it`s actually accidental there.

yes, all of my images are "hide and seek" to some extent! I always try to put a "reward" in there for people who actually click on and look at the picture... .an incentive, as if the picture itself wasn't enough XD

Love it! As I mentioned in your NChica picture, the use of backlighting and forelighting
helps to enhance the character and make them stand out without looking too unusual
The posing and perspective is also amazing to see - whilst it's not quite as dynamic as the
previous SpringTrap picture's pose, it's still characteristic and works nicely ^^ It does seem
like a lot of people do pictures of SpringTrap in a doorway, (including me) though xD
I think my favourite part of this is the little segment of tiles to the right of Springie (our left).
There's something about the way that it's lit that makes it so unique and really brings out a
sense of age and decay to the map Yes, I know that sounds weird, but it's one of the things
that I usually look out for - little details that make things look more realistic
Looking forward to seeing what you do next!...well technically the NChica picture came next, so I'm
looking forward to whatever comes after that xD
Also, don't think I didn't spot that little guy down there

It's always a pleasure to have you comment about the things you see!! Of course you noticed the plush XD I do that for people who actually take the time to zoom in and look, which of course you did.
As for the pose, I was originally going to use the new V4 model, so this would be a showcase, so hence why it's kinda basic (as it was in NChica too). My original (and other) idea was different.
And I do the lighting and editing such that it really brings your attention to the subject at hand. Remember, I'm a photographer, so I employ techniques from that field.
And nothing... not a single bit... of my pictures is by accident. I'm glad you mentioned the tiles... because that, and the boxes, and the door frame, and everything is all done on purpose. Most people will never see or know or understand what I do for these, but I don't just pose a character and puts lights on it. I design a world, and try and give you the feeling that you are inside of the picture. Like, Springtrap is just right in the center, so I could have cropped it, right? Nope. I can't morally crop these things, because I loose so much of my own work and intention when doing it. The entire scene is meant to draw you in and make you feel there, and bring your focus to the character, while still having the rest of the scene in your periphery. The posing and placing of objects and lights is also meant to give an overall balance to the shot, with enough depth to feel like a 3D world and not just a flat image.

Thank you! Glad that I can share my opinion ^^ But of course! I'm one for hiding little things that otherwise wouldn't
be noticed, so I know to double check things just in case
Ahh, I see! Well, nothing wrong with basic - sometimes, overly dramatic poses can take attention away from things
and overwhelm the viewer
I remember! You do it very nicely Perhaps you should do a picture sometime where you just purely scenebuild with
no actual models - to see if you can create a convincing location as well, using nothing but props, lights and effects...but
up to you, just an idea ^^
That was actually one of the first things I noticed, the tiles - you put an immense amount of detail into your work and it shows!
I've missed seeing that detail - I think the last picture I remember that you did with this level of detail was the picture about Mangle:
Tossed out with the 'trash' Little details make up the background, but you have to find that fine balance between details and
distractions. Too little detail and things start to look boring and could be skipped over. Too much detail and people start to lose the
focus of the picture and may miss things

Ah, yeah a scenebuild.... I could do a pure one, rather than always doing it with a character...... if I had more time for such exploration. So many ideas, so little time! ah well.... ugh
Ah yes, that older Mangle picture, still a favorite, and to think, that it was an "accident" after completely loosing my original picture. That was a lot of fun to make too, as it gave me a unique opportunity to use different camera technique.
