PERSONALITY

Aria is an awkward person, especially when it comes to dealing with people. Her face always looks angry due to her sharp eyes and thin brows. Not helping matters any, her words tend to be harsh. Even when she tries to comfort a person, she can hardly seem to find the right words and will often sound condescending in these rare moments she doesn't intend to.

But don't think that she's just some harmless person who is simply misunderstood. While not as bad a person as most would think, that doesn't change the fact that Aria is, quite frankly, EXTREMELY hotheaded. Her lack of height is a sore point to her, and she can often be heard commenting on how 'all tall people should just fckin' DIE'. ...Working for a guy nearly 2m tall does not change this at ALL.

When someone tries something on her or her few friends, she is prone to react with either vicious words and/or violence. Either way, once her line gets crossed, she will not hold back.

APPEARANCE

Owning a body without noteworthy curves, sharp eyes and an even sharper personality, Aria has long since accepted that there's nothing feminine about her. Due to her lack of pigments her skin is a sickly pale and her hair a weird faded out colour. Whether it's the way she looks or the way she talks, neither is cute, nor is she what many people would call beautiful at first, or even second glance. Her eyes are a bright, sky blue. She's short, fairly light, and slender.

ABOUT
Born in Floaroma, Sinnoh, Aria’s family owns a flower store in the brightly coloured and sweet smelling town. However, the tomboy could never quite settle on the role of heiress. Her Lilligant, Altaria and Vaporeon helped to maintain the flowers - fit for gardening like the Pokémon belonging to her parents. But living life like this, every day, just felt a bit empty to her.
It was on a stormy night that she went out to check up on the garden and make sure the flowers were still covered properly, her Vaporeon at her side. This is when they found the little Shaymin, huddled up and hiding from the storm under the plastic field cover. She took it back home where she dried and dressed it, giving it a place to recover from being out in that weather.
When the weather cleared up, she told it that it could return again, to wherever it wanted - she wistfully mentioned that it must’ve been nice to have that freedom… In turn, Shaymin bit on the corner of her pant leg and tugged her towards the door, as if to tell her to come with it. She told it that she couldn’t just leave, she had responsibilities, but it tugged again. It was hard to repeat the reason, especially with how unhappy Aria was about it herself. This isn’t the life she wanted to live. Not yet at least. Maybe in the future, but not now.
Gathering her courage, she talked about it with her parents and told them she wanted to try to do different things first. She fully expected to be rejected, but to her surprise they gave her permission to go out and travel. To do the things she wanted to do. They told her that both they and the store would be waiting for her whenever she was satisfied, and ready to return.
She traveled through the region, but nothing drew her interest. She started venturing to other regions. Along the way she caught her first Pokémon that didn’t have anything to do with gardening : Jangmo-o. A little dragon she found during her brief stay in Alola. It’s during her trip to Galar that she caught the second one, a snover. But that’s not all she found in the Hammerlocke Hills. She also found Hammerlocke’s Gymleader, who’d been out solving a problem. Raihan saw her and her Vaporeon, and motioned her over to ‘send a little rain his way, if she would’. His Goodra had ignored his commands and overworked herself, she could use a little water ( and a big scolding ! and a little comfort - seems like the latest loss to Leon had affected her more than he’d thought ). In thanks for her help, Raihan taught her a few things about her Jangmo-o she hadn’t known. It evolved during this time as well.
Aria still didn’t have much of an idea on what to do, and her only true skills were related to raising plants. What did that leave for her? Raihan pointed out that the fact that she was able to raise a dragon so well that it evolved under her tutelage, she had more skills than she thought. He proposed an idea : he was gathering some people to be gym trainers. Though it wouldn’t be easy at all, and the job came with more than just the occasional battle, but if she wanted to give it a try, she could apply. Who knows? Maybe she’d prove his eyes right and live up to the potential he saw. Aria asked what if she wouldn’t? Raihan just gave an easy shrug and told her that it just wasn’t meant to be then.
Aria had never done a double battle before, but alongside several others who were aiming for the spot on gym trainer she learned the basics fast and quickly learned that her Abomasnow and Hakamo-o turned out to be oddly good partners, despite their clash in types. Abomasnow would shield Hakamo-o every time an ice move was used against them and Hakamo-o would jump in when a fire move was used.
This new way of battling was entirely new and exciting, and Aria found that she wanted to pass the test. She wanted to become a gym trainer and wanted to learn more about this! She was good enough to pass the test alongside another girl, becoming two new gym trainers to the Hammerlocke Gym.
