Character description. Born in the capital city of the lust ring to a poor teen mother, Verosika left her impoverished home at a young age to find her way to fame and fortune. Unfortunately she soon found that the brutal society of ancient hell had little interest in the dreams of a pretty little succubus. She believed her luck had changed when she met the overlord Valentino , promising to put her name in lights . This , however, was a lie . The insect pimp effectively enslaved her in the contract she signed and used her as his personal plaything and punching bag . She doesn’t remember how long she suffered his abuse and she doesn’t particularly care to, all she knows is that one day, they came to her aid . They being the twins Isfet and Cinder. They had taken a position as enforcers for the close friend of their father, Mammon the prince of Greed as enforcers and reluctantly frequented Val’s establishment at Mammon’s behest . They were some of the only customers who treated Verosika kindly and she cherished their visits . One day they and their crew accidentally witnessed a particularly nasty bout of abuse by Valentino and when he arrogantly asked what they would do about it they beat him within an inch of his life , even removing a..:well let’s just say it was a very important male body part, especially in Val’s line of work. After rescuing Verosika, the others doted on her and took care of her as one of her own, becoming essentially the little sister among the twins and their cohorts Henchmaniacs. Although Verosika’s self esteem had been at an all time low during her enslavement to Valentino , the encouragement of her new friends did booster her confidence, as well as the fame she once craved . With their backlog she spring-boarded her artistic career and began playing major venues in Hell, Remnant and beyond. Still , this glamor was only to cover up her true identity, embittered by her enslavement, Verosika became a truly ruthless and dangerous agent of the horde, using her natural seduction skills for both information gathering, extortion and even straight up murder, although all these blatant crimes were either covered up entirely or explained away as “celebrity eccentricity “ by her mob associates. This beautiful cruelty earned the attention of a clever and cunning little imp who’d gotten into the horde ‘s ranks via Mammon, Blitz . One brutal the other venomous they made a pretty pair of killers . Still there were problems in their relationship right from the start. Blitz was distant and emotional vulnerability was difficult for him , something that the touchy feely succubus upset to say the least. Then there was the fact that Verosika had feelings for more than one of her colleagues, including the charming and swashbuckling Lady Caine , pirates were always a bit of a turn on for Sika, as well as the former Atlas specialist Winter Schnee who turned on General Ironwood in secret upon learning the full scope of the shadow war of Ozpin and Salem she somewhat reluctantly agreed to work with the horde as an inside agent. Although Verosika initially began as Winter’s horde contact to emotionally manipulate her into obeying their orders she and Caine soon began to be genuinely charmed by the specialist ‘s strength, and dedication to her family, something Verosika never got to experience among her biological family. Still some portions of Winter’s past reminded her and Caine of their own struggles, particularly in the case of dealing with estranged parents . Blitz could handle sharing with the pirate but to compete with a Schnee, his insecurities began to eat at him and this all came to a head with the arrival of… Loona. She arrived when the Horde bought up the orphanage she lived in. With her prickly , aggressive personality she fit right in within the Fright Zone. Although he didn’t have the finances himself to officially adopt her, Blitz grew quite attached to the little pup and was hoping he and Verosika could pool their resources together and have them become a proper family. Verosika liked the pup well enough, she was spunky , clever and made a good friend to the boss ‘s children, who were essentially Verosika’s own apprentices but Verosika still very much considered herself a young demon , too young to be a proper mother and certainly not stable enough to be what Loona needed. If she and Blitz were more mature they could have talked all this out like adults and broken up on friendly terms, instead Verosika tried to apply a bandaid to a bullet wound and satisfy him with sex , and Blitz let his fear of abandonment and intimacy get the better of him and ran off , taking Loona with him, something that the hellhound has yet to fully forgive him for. In most cases, a traitor to the horde would be hunted down and killed , Verosika certainly advocated for it during more than one drunken night but she was more devastated than angry and she and Blitz stayed quiet , feuding enemies for the worse part of a few years, well maybe not quiet , those two are naturally loud . They had spat after spat for years as their similar professions and close proximity led them into conflict . While this was bad for nearly everyone involved it was good for Loona, Janja and the other children who continued to hang out and be friends despite the bickering adults in their lives. Then , it happened Dracula lord of vampires returned to exact revenge on humanity for the murder of his wife centuries ago, and he hired I.M.P to assist in the killings. Blitz was an experienced and even sadistic killer but he was in over his head and, reluctantly turned to his old teammates for help. After some pushing from Moxxie and Loona Blitz apologized to Verosika for his past behavior. Although the succubus was reluctant to forgive initially Janja. Catra and the other children and even her fellow Henchmaniacs worked together to convince her to at least talk to him . At present , the two have agreed to leave romantic relations in the past but have rebuilt their friendship . When the horde fell as a government Verosika lost a portion of her fame but quickly rebuilt it via the horde’s many contacts in the criminal underworld, her stress , however, remains high during the last years of the Horde’s empire she repaid a debt to the Imp assassin Striker in regards to making a deal for the life of the Goetia prince Stolas, whom the Horde now had an interest in protecting she agreed to engage in well.. Succubus activities with him , leading to the accidental birth of her daughter, Amber . Striker was , as too be expected a absentee father, leaving Verosika alone to raise her. Except she wasn’t alone , not truly the rest of the Horde has stayed true to her even through Amber’s difficult teen years . Now the Horde’s pretty little songstress is with the rest of the hive , working with MT INC . They’re freed from the basement and have settled on a deal where they act as “. Criminal consultants “ offering assistance on missions in exchange for the agency staying out of their organized crime operations, within reason now based in the capital of the Greed Ring of Hell , Mint City.
