DiARPG - Galvyn

Random Event

Galvyn and his raven friend both travel amongst themselves through the plains, waiting for something to catch their eye. Suddenly, the raven starts cawing loudly and flying away. Something must've spooked him...then a massive badger jumps out and bites at Galvyn's legs!

It had been a few days since the merger of the new members to Galvyn's band. Everyone was finally settling down and slowly getting to know each other much to the stallions delight. On one particularly brisk day the Grullo was grazing near the treeline of foliage that opened out into a grassy plane. His herd in sight and always aware of his surroundings he nibbled at the grassy shoots. His mother had told him that the best grazing areas were always near the trees where the heat of the sun hadn't sucked out the moisture of the grassy roots and were always somewhat sweeter than the foliage in the middle of the field. He deemed this to be truth and if he was able to, he would graze near that area first before moving on into the vast pains.
A rustle of leaves and grass made Galvyn's ear swivel back on alert but he didn't stop to raise his head. The sound didn't sound big and he just assumed it was a bird or mouse of some sort. Boy was he wrong. Out of the bushes came a large badger barreling towards the mighty stallion with maw ajar and fury in its eyes. "OW SHIT!" Galvyn squealed and bucked at the sudden pain he left on his rear leg. A quick spray of blood followed suit and the badger quickly got out of the way as to avoid the mighty hooves stomped back down to the earth.
The small band looked up at seemed concerned at the ordeal and whinnied at Galvyn to see if he was okay and if he needed assistance. He quickly glanced at them then back at the badger who was growling fiercely and getting ready to defend itself if the stallion chose to pursue it. "You're not going to make a fool out of me." The mighty Grullo said under his breath and stood to face the badger' his feet pawing at the ground and ears pinned back.
The badger almost looked like it was snickering at the horses' advance and growled back as if to say 'what are you waiting for?'. Galvyn was ready to stop this little vermin to death to not only prove you should not mess with him but that he was a worthy protector of his family and would do whatever it takes to protect and defend them. With a quick rear and a whip of his head he charged at the little beast. He was going to show who the real fool of the ordeal!

No more main quests so maybe stat training and side quests for my baby boy until it is continued! Horsies are hard to draw without a reference!! I can draw dogs no problem but I've never really focused on drawing horses and they're pretty difficult to get right for sure!
