Description
Copper got away from the fire during the Eternal Light Festival fine, not even ash burdening his pelt. He only saw that Sammy got away, and then he was off; there was no one else that he cared to rescue. He didn't even see Eira, his mother, try to help Sammy, she dashed away over the hillsides without a second thought for her colony.
A few days later, he returns to the spot to investigate. A few fires still burn, but he figures that the rain will put them out in due time and leaves to report to Fern.
