Description

I made my very first stone-sculpture during the first days in my summer-vacation!!!It`s made out of red sandstone and weighs about 60 Kilogramm.
I worked a whole week, 8 hours per day, it was a great experience for me and i`m now really into sculptures, materials and also technices.
As you can see i tried to give the head to different-looking parts:
One side is very smooth and polished, with no scares, while the other side looks more damaged, the nose almost looks broken.The nice, beautiful side is tilting over like the face is falling on it`s nicer part.The damaged side is more visible.You can interpret- is the weak side breaking down the nice-looking side?Is the beauty less import than what made the character of the head?

My "mentor" Christoph Traub did a great job in supporting, teaching and everything whenever i`m around to work in his place! I appreciate a lot working with this great and talented artist!!!!
