Within the bamboo thickets near Qingce Village, a blonde-haired young man approached a small makeshift camp belonging to a familiar Indigo-haired girl.

"Aether! Thanks for showing up!"

"No problem. So what exactly did you need, Xiangling?"

"I wanted you to taste test one of the new recipes I've been experimenting with." Aether immediately began to feel queasy, "Oh no….Xiangling, please...not again! Those Electro Slime Pancakes you had me try last time left me bedridden; I don't think my body can handle another taste test…" "Trust me: this one's gonna be a bazillion times better. Just gimme one sec-" Xiangling then rustled through her travel pack, pulling out a wrapped circular treat and holding it out to the Traveler. And once she unwrapped it…"Ta-dah!" "...um...an apple?" "Not just any apple: thanks to some ancient Adept cooking techniques I've been studying, I've created a deliciously sweet coating that can turn any fruit or vegetable into the perfect sugary treat!" "That sounds...ambitious. And what exactly is this 'coating' made out of?" "Oh, you know, a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Go on, give it a try!" Xiangling's dismissal of the previous question only increased Aether's weariness, but the enthusiastically adorable look in her eyes eventually won him over. He grabbed the apple out of her hands and cautiously took a bite out of it, immediately cringing at the intensely sweet flavor that spread throughout the inside of his mouth.

"So how'd it taste?" "*gulp*...very...ah...potent...oh man. My whole face feels...tingly..."

Unbeknownst to Aether, that tingling sensation was indicative of the dramatic changes that he was beginning to undergo. His boyish visage took on a softer, cuter appearance, not dissimilar to the girl standing in front of him, as his eyes grew larger and took on a darker golden hue. His bright blonde hair shifted to a dark indigo color and quickly began growing out in length, now reaching down to his shoulders.

Xiangling was flabbergasted as she watched her friend transform before her very eyes. "Um...A-Aether...y-you look…different..." "What are you tal-" Aether cut himself off as the familiar voice of Xiangling escaped his throat. "My voice! What's happening to-HEY!" Before he could finish his thought, Xiangling grabbed his hand and dragged him over to a nearby pond, where he was able to get a glimpse at his reflection. Only, it wasn't his face staring back at him, but rather the unmistakable face of Xiangling.

"Is th-that...m-my face? What's going-ugghhhh…"

Just like his head, the rest of Aether's body became tingly and numb as his transformation proceeded. His light, boyish build became slimmer and daintier, shrinking down to girlier proportions. Any excess fat or muscle was either compressed or redistributed to his thighs and rear which began rapidly filling out. His hands and feet grew more petite while his shoulders and waist crushed inwards. The unnatural changes then began affecting Aether's clothes and gear: his attire slowly morphed into the very same outfit Xiangling wore, while his trusty sword lengthened out into a red spear.

"This…this is...INCREDIBLE!" Xiangling's eyes began to sparkle with curiosity and joy, "An Adeptal cooking technique that can change someone's physical appearance, their attire, even into an exact copy of someone else!? This could change the entire culinary landscape of Teyvat! I need to experiment with this more. A coating is only the beginning; I could reverse engineer this recipe into sauces, drinks, soups, plus I need to figure out what determines-" "Um...Xiangling...I think you're kind of...ignoring the issue...oh no...that doesn't feel good…"

The tingling sensation suddenly intensified around his chest and crotch. Aether heaved forward as he felt something push out from his pectorals. Eventually, that 'something' was revealed to be a pair of breasts that grew out to a modest b-cup size. His attention immediately shifted his nether regions as he felt the last remnant of his boyhood slip back into his body, leaving only a flat surface behind and marking the end of Aether's transformation.

After the tingling sensation wore off Aether looked over his new body in a state of disbelief. "I...I can't believe this...I've turned into-" "-My exact body double! Isn't this amazing!? It got everything exactly right...well, minus the hair; look, it even gave you a copy of my Vision!" "But am I gonna be stuck like this forever!? No offense, Xiangling, but I really don't want to spend the rest of my journey across Teyvat as your exact duplicate!" "Don't worry: if there are Adepti cooking techniques that can transform people, then there's bound to be some that can un-transform people as well! Now come on- '' Xiangling grabbed her Doppelganger's hand and began dragging them out of the forest, "-let's get back to the Wanmin Restaurant! I've got sooooooo many new recipe ideas!" "Wait! Xiangling! We can't go waltzing into Liyue like this! XIANGLING!!!"
