Description A commander’s Pzkpfw-IV Ausf-E from the 15th Panzer Division, 8th Panzer Regiment, 8th Panzer Company in North Africa, 1941. The vehicle has a base coat of sand yellow (RAL 8000). Markings consist of a large numeral eight, in black outlined in white, stenciled on the sides and rear of the turret, along a simple white outline of a balkankreuz over the visors on the superstructure sides as well as rear superstructure. Its divisional emblem has been added to the front plate adjacent to the driver’s visor and rear plate. Note that a horizontal white stripe has been added to the turret stowage bin to indicate that the vehicle belongs to the commander. Modifications made to the vehicle are typical of 8th Panzer Regiment Pzkpfw-IV in North Africa, having two spare wheels mounted to the turret sides and another affixed to the superstructure side over the radio operator’s side visor.
