Firstly, that isn't blood. However, it does look like blood, so if you think this needs a filter, please let me know!
(I've been debating whether or not to put one on, but since its just a turnaround and it doesn't look too menacing I decided against it for now :'D)

Okay, I spent a long time on this, so I'm posting my character design homework for the first time! The prompt was to design a creature/monster for some horror media, and then make a four point turnaround and two headshots. Most of our assignments have been traditional and without color, but this one is all digital and with flat colors! I was kinda excited, cause I can do turnarounds much more accurately on photoshop rather than traditionally.

Anywhozits, the creature! I really like the idea of horror based on nature. Maybe its because I find nature terrifying. Real horror is right outside, peeps. Vine arms is a bit of a motif of mine, but the look is creepy, so I put them here! I also added vertically slit eyes, since I personally hate looking at those. In the center is an eye. The dark pupil in the middle will move around to "look" at its surroundings. It has hips and can walk normally, but will stride all the way from it's chest. It's left side seems to be coming apart and has extremely long fingers. Finally, there's the "bleeding." Certain trees bleed a red sap when cut into, so I based this guy's bark on those kinda trees. So it's not blood, but a really red tree sap!

And yeah! This was my homework! I feel like describing my thought process for making this makes it much less scary then intended, but oh well! XD
