I felt like taking a break from short break from some of my cartoon/chibi work to do a more traditional piece. I just wanted to draw something pretty and abstract, but somewhat sad looking at the same time. I titled this "Low Click of a Ticking Clock". As you get older, theres always that gut feeling you have of that clock ticking away, reminding you. Hope you guys like!If you don't follow my tumblr or Facebook too, I generally post a lot of art updates on these moreso than here on DA.

The placement of the clock makes me think it's a woman's biological clock that you're referring to. Or did you mean simply the inevitably of age and death in general? I guess it's open to both interpretations from a viewer's point of view. I really like the petals floating away in the piece, they're always a good way to show the idea of transience.

Thank you! This was done with a lot of layers in illustrator. I sketched it all out before him too then did fine details.
