You're welcome! That's a great idea. I'm not a massive fangirl of Avatar and/or Korra like I am with W.I.T.C.H., but I do enjoy it. I just don't go nuts over it like so many other people seem to. The hype from the rabid fans makes me shy away a little in all honesty.

I'm glad that you understand. Heh. I don't blame you for feeling weary for the same reason. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'm a highly enthusiastic fan as rude as that may sound. I mean, I enjoy Avatar and I think it's a good show, but I'm not sure that I consider it a masterpiece like many others do necessarily. I think it's very well written though!

Oh, good! That's a relief. Yes, this is true. I do like the writing. I think I prefer Avatar to Korra thus far. One thing that really got me right in the heart was Sokka and Yue's tragic romance at the end of season one. That made me rather emotional to the point where I nearly cried. I really can see why people enjoy Avatar and I do find it to be an entertaining and fun series overall. Maybe my whole thing about not thinking that it's a masterpiece has to do with me being a bitter W.I.T.C.H. fan. I think that W.I.T.C.H. is equally as good as Avatar and it pains me that Avatar gets so much hype and love and W.I.T.C.H. is immensely underloved.

Yeah, I still prefer Avatar over Korra. you just can't beat the originalOh gosh, I loved Sokka and Yue's tragic romance. Yue is one of my absolute favorite characters I can definitely see why you'd be bitter about the lack of love W.I.T.C.H. gets I have a theory that W.I.T.C.H. (for all its awesome animation and storyline) was a victim of (at least somewhat) poor advertising, airing on an (again, at least SOMEwhat) obscure tv station (because honestly, I have never met ONE person in real life who remembers or knows what Jetix was). And then of course there's those already in the W.I.T.C.H. fandom who refused to watch/like the tv show because they preferred the comics (which they certainly can, everyone's entitled to their own opinions and preferences). Plus, as much as I think that W.I.T.C.H. can appeal to people of all genders and many age groups, I think a lot of people who *did* happen to catch advertisements for it simply wrote it off as a "girl's show" Avatar, on the other hand, was aired on Nickelodeon (and EVERYONE knows what that is, more or less) and got more advertising....At least, that's my guess

How do you feel about Avatar and Korra now and which series you prefer? I'm glad that I'm not alone about loving Sokka and Yue's tragic romance. Yue is one of my favorite characters too. She didn't have much screen time, but she was so caring and selfless. D= D= Thanks for understanding why I feel the way that I do about W.I.T.C.H. You have great points about why W.I.T.C.H. didn't succeed particularly with the marketing and the fact that it was on Jetix. However, it was also on Toon Disney and the re-runs showed on that channel for ages, so that made me surprised that it didn't do better seeing as most people knew what Toon Disney was. But yeah, it was targeted at girls and written off as "another magical girl show" which couldn't be further from the truth. I can see why Avatar has much more success. So, yeah.

I would have to say that nothing could replace Avatar in my heart. That was truly the show that started it all, that got me hooked on the characters and the storyline from episode 1, and that allowed me (and everyone else who watched it) to follow those characters/watch them grow on such a wonderful adventure. Korra has definitely been amazing thus far, and it is clear that much hard work/sweat/tears have gone into creating its characters, design, and storyline. I love Korra and the new "Team Avatar", but I wish that the new series had the luxury of slowing down every once and a while and just focusing on backstories and character development. However, I am also fully aware that this first season has only 12 episodes. Plus, there IS going to be a second season, so who knows what lays on the horizon?
I'm so glad that you like Yue!I feel like she gets under-loved as a character because of her minimal screentime, but I too was attracted to how selfless/caring/kind she was.
