Bruce went after Summers, only to be knocked down and captured along with Eva by Brooks and her mercs. Brooks chuckled and said: ''You wouldn't believe the trouble you've saved me.''. Then she grabbed Summer's head and said to him: ''Nice work.''. ''What?!'' asked Bruce. He didn't understand how Brooks was able to find them. ''Well, here he is: the family's offspring, Bruce Shepard. And here we are, on a planet i never thought would exist. But thanks to your friend Summers, i have found it.'' said Brooks. ''That's how they followed us through shockspace.'' said Eva. ''Oh, he is a smart boy.'' said Brooks. ''No, no. All... all she wants is Bruce. Core, the rest of us can go home!'' said Summers. ''You deluded son of a bitch!'' said Eva and tried to get her hands on him. ''Hey! You've got me! Let the others go.'' said Bruce. ''You know, it's a pretty difficult thing, undoing the damage your friends have done. Everything they touch, contaminate, corrupt. The Alliance should have thought otherwise, but instead they took the Cerberus money... and bent the knee.'' said Brooks. ''Jesus, spare us the bullshit!'' said Eva. ''I've spent the last two years trying to undo the damage Cerberus has done: fighting their propaganda machine, getting rid of these self-proclaimed human supremacists, and now... i just have one problem left to purge. All of you!'' said Brooks. ''No, no, no, no!! No! You promised me a ship, Brooks! We had a deal!'' said Summers. ''Yes, i'm sorry about that. But i can't afford to leave even one of you left alive. Apologies for misleading you, captain.'' said Brooks and aimed the pistol at Summers. Bruce lashed out, knocked down Brooks and tried to restrain her, but got thrown away by one of the mercs. He was ready to shoot Bruce, but Eva, who dealt with the other merc, pulled out the pistol and killed him. Bruce grabbed the grenade and threw it at Brooks, but she managed to avoid the explosion and escape. Then he, Eva and Summers engaged in a gunfight against incoming CAT6 mercs.
