Actually, I have no idea what ANSI means.  It's just for some reason it's one of the few categories that would accept the image.  Sorry if it bothers you.

Its okay, you are not the problem, the problem is when you are searching for some ANSI art and you find tons of pictures that aren't even nearly ANSI.

There doesn't need to be an "and" any more than there needs to be a "carry on," but the format's still all wrong.

Also i'm simply sick of these. They stopped being funny in 1939, hence why the posters never made full deployment.

My panties are hardly in a bunch, they're folded nicely and hidden where nobody would think to look.

It doesn't need an "and" any more than it needs a "carry on." Seeing as "and" is simply a conjunction, it's usually pretty invisible. Admittedly, most of these posters follow the format "KEEP CALM and X", but I think that, if the statement is clever enough, it could easily follow the format "KEEP CALM X," so long as it doesn't draw attention to itself. "KEEP CALM just pet ME SLAVE" fails because it strays too far from the standard format, as well as being broken from a practical design perspective. 

In all honesty, this is exactly the kind of thing we learned in my first year at university. Edward Tufte provides a good reference for it. This also goes to show that even cookie-cutter "design" can easily fail if you don't know what you're doing. For which I don't blame the artist for, you can hardly get angry at someone for being inexperienced. And I don't claim to be incredibly experienced by any means, either, but I have tried to provide a constructive reason as to why this doesn't work as opposed to "OMG TH1S SUX."

Because SLAVE is really what cats think in most of their sentences so it's the most important.
But yeah, I am sick and tired of these. There's got to be a more original way to do this....
