Took me way longer to finish this then I'd wanted to since I had to do projects for uni, but I think I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

At some point I updated my clip studio paint to the latest version(... I was using 1.5.4 which was 3 years old!) so I decided that I might as well try some new brushes. Ended up using one to do the cherry blossoms over 20 minutes. I'd been slacking a bit when it came to backgrounds for the past few pieces so having an integrated one like this was refreshing.

Other than that, I'm also trying to work on suppressing the saturation on my illustrations a bit. I'm aware that I still have my tendency to over-saturate my colours even after trying to tone down on it 2 years ago. I found it particularly noticeable on the stuff I did early into the year so it's probably a good idea to address the issue again now that I've improved a bit.

I'm looking forward to opening up commissions within the last few months of the year though. I remember mentioning in the description of a similar piece around this time last year that I'd open commissions up if I could do another illustration or two of that quality but I feel like none of my illustrations after that really got close to what I was looking for. I ended up postponing it because of that and my bad state of mind during the year but I'm feeling more confident to try again now. Here's to hoping that I actually get through to doing that ^^
