I'm thinking I could make a parody of sorts involving this female crew idea. This way I wouldn't have to limit myself to staying completely in the Trek rules, and include my vast Star Wars knowledge. I could even do more suggestive stuff and not fear the legal stuff.

Most of what you say in the description sounds like stuff that's run through my head in the past. Β I previously had mentioned my own desire to do a comic about an all female starship crew, inspired by my love of Star Trek, but came to the conclusion that doing a pastiche/parody is a more logical approach. Β For one thing, as you pointed out, under the umbrella of parody, it's easier to avoid legal repercussions.
I'm not sure, but to be on the safe side, if you really want to skirt any copyright issues, it might be prudent to change a bit more than just the uniforms. Β I'm just thinking "big picture," though, like if you ever got so far as wanting to publish your work or whatever. Β
