If you were in this scenario:

You managed to escape from a stranger who had kidnapped you and you had been kept as a captive for three days. You flee to the nearest house you could find to call for help. The door is open. Feeling panic the stranger would find you, you rush going inside the house. It is dark, and eerily quiet. You go further to see if anyone really lives here.

You hear a calm voice all of a sudden, "can I help you?" A man sitting in a chair is observing you, looking at open wounds on your shoulder and arm. He convinces you that he is a doctor.

Would you let this doctor tend to your wounds? or run away?

I've had this idea for a story. Wendell being a deutragonist/anti-hero OR a protagonist who regrets his actions in the past and fights his demon. His enemies would still be Arthur and other agents from Mirage organisation (they aren't exactly evil).
