This is amazing! Love how you've portrayed the relationship between the dragon and the human, and I adore the lighting : D

you know, usually not many artists like the idea of a spiritual conection between humans and dragons. Really dont know why. Thatas why I love your work, because technically speaking its great, but also becasue of the meaning. I dont know if you will read this comment, cause you have a hell lot of them lol, but congratulations!

the girl looks like sen from Princess monoka

Grafik In reply to BurtonPoe [2010-11-12 08:26:09 +0000 UTC]

why, beacuse she as some animal skin in her back? Sen uses a cape made of withe wolf fur and a mask, my character uses a coat of a boar fur, skin color, face everthing is very diferent, you might say it has some influence... but to say it looks like goes a lomg distance: [link]

Oh well I mean I'm not Trying to say you copied it from it I'm saying that she's similar. I think Sen is a very good looking character. I really like your pic.

okay that's nuts--i have this ritual in one of my stories that riders and dragons have to undergo to be bonded--and this looks like the most vital part of it illustrated.

This scene as i imagine is that the little girl has special powers; her clothes shows that she lives in the wilderness, even as little as she is she can tame the dragon with her inner strength, the animal respects her

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

fairyqueen77 In reply to Grafik [2010-08-24 18:56:44 +0000 UTC]

the thing it makes me picture is the part in the ritual where the bond between dragon and rider is actually formed; both human and animal have to place their trust completely in the other--i.e., the dragon has to trust that the rider won't attempt to kill it, and the rider has to trust that the dragon won't burn them to a crisp. If it works, the two are bonded for good--if the rider is killed or disappears, the dragon becomes an Abandoned--basically a rogue killer.

the dragonflies was a joke
finally you're the first to see the boar cap, most people say its a wolf cap
this one is big, i have it in a poster you can see all the details better
