I drew this for fun. I really wanted to do a full-color Davy 'n' Jack pic before the new movie came out (I loved Dead Man's Chest, in case ya couldn't tell). Colors done in Photoshop.

The movie's Davy Jones reminded me of a mind flayer. If ya don't know DnD, a mind flayer is a squid faced race (hence the reminding) of psychopathic megalomanical world domination types. Oh, and they have psychic powers to, among other things, dominate minds.

ooo, i just watched the trailer for the third movie for like, the thousandth time (okay, not that many times) and so far i love the part when these two are duking it out on the top of the mast of one of the ships. awesome, i can't wait until it comes out! and this wicked awesome picture totally just got me more psyched. *jumps around*

Wonderful job! The detail in the faces are just dead on and spectacular, Jack's hair especially is wonderfully detailed and perfect, very nice volume and texture with it. And as always it's so nice to see a piece of original PotC fan art that wasn't a copy off of a promotional picture.

I loves me some Davy Jones I do. I squealed in delight when I saw him fighting Jack on the ship's mast supports during the At World's End trailer. It is to squee!!
