Description
1. Introduction & Physical appearanceI have put a lot of thought into this champion concept and I would like to share it, even though he isn't nearly finished.
First, lets introduce him: Clay the earthfury (subject to change). He is simply a skinny looking man with goggles that has incredible strength and the amazing ability to control the earth around him. (Rocks, sand, earth and other minerals) His left arm is still there, it's just covered by a huge rocky gauntlet. On the other hand (literally), he summons and controls sand storms. His skin is rough and rock hard with protruding fragments of earthy materials. His worn pants may seem ordinary but that's because they are.
2. Lore
The lore of Clay is still vague and is subject to change. He is an adventurer. The risky type. Like Indiana Jones but more smug. On one of his many treasure hunts (in a desert probably) he messes with magic object and is transformed into this. More details coming soon I hope.
3. Gameplay
I envisioned Clay primarily as a top lane melee fighter/bruiser that needs to get up close and personal with whoever he's pummeling. He does better the longer he stays in combat and shines during team fights. Once again, his role and kit are still subject to change.
Speaking of kit, lets go over it:
PASSIVE: EROSION - Targets who get close to Clay will gain a stack of Erosion for every second they are near him losing 2% armor per stack. maximum 5 stacks.
Q: BOULDER BLAST - Clay tosses a boulder with his gauntlet dealing large physical damage and stunning the target for 1 second. Costs mana
W: SAND STREAM - (PASSIVE) The range of your Erosion is increased by 50%
(ACTIVE) Clay summons sand that whirls around him dealing little physical damage per second. Enemies in the area also gain stacks of Erosion twice as fast. Costs mana per second.
E: MAGNITUDE - Clay shakes the ground causing a rolling ground wave to propel him forward dealing damage and knocking enemies up along his path. costs mana. (Fun fact: This ability was inspired by Toph from "Avatar: the last airbender")
R: SANDSTORM - Clay summons a huge, temporary sandstorm at his center dealing little damage per second. Enemies caught in the storm receive stacks of Erosion twice as fast and are slowed considerably. Costs mana.
As you can see, Clay is dependent on Erosion, so I created his kit to hinder his target and make it easier to reach and stick around as he throws punches. As I mentioned before, his team fighting potential is also good, as others can benefit from stacks of Erosion as well as keep enemies inside Clay's ultimate as the slow that is caused by it is permanent as long as the target stays withing range. Not to mention the CC that Clay can put out to assist his teammates in catching their targets.
Clay absolutely NEEDS tenacity from items as well as defensive items to last longer during combat. Attack damage goes without saying, and movement speed is also beneficial.
