A friend of mine gave me a request to design a Steven Universe character based on her. I have never watched the show, so I had/still have little to no knowledge on the show or how everything works regarding characters and gem people/'gemsonas', and the more I read the more I became confused. Nevertheless, to my amazement it turned out surprisingly well, as drawing females is hardly my forte and most attempts at drawing women usually turn out disastrous. It was nothing short of a pleasure to create this.

A little information on the character, and too, this friend of mine.

She's (apparently gem people don't have genders or something but I'm saying she for simplicity) a professional dancer, and a very fiery and passionate person - brimming with charisma. Her gem is a Red Agate, also I guess her name would be Agate instead of Risotte... oh well - located on her hip, and her gem weapon is a heart-bladed scarf. The design was based on collaborated apparel of belly dancers, jazz dancers, and Chinese scarf dancers. The pose is also supposed to be based on jazz dance - had to look through many pictures to find a suitable pose that also showed off the hip.
