Let me give you a basic rundown about the Gods of Mobius and beyond!

We have the main seven that correlates with each Chaos Emerald:

Chaos- blue emerald
Thia (goddess of light and good)- yellow emerald
Eirene (goddess of Nature)- green emerald
Kronos (God of Knowledge and Time)- Cyan emerald
Ananta (God of Creation)- purple emerald
Imara (goddess of Order)- red emerald
Thanatos (God of Death)- gray emerald

Chaos lives by his given role, he is one of Ananta's most powerful creations, able to wipe out galaxies with a single blast. He is powerful as he is terrifying.

But he isn't a mindless beast, but a mysterious entity that holds wisdom and knowledge that even his most devoted followers do not know. He is able to speak every language that exists and can travel to multiple dimensions at a time via the Master Emerald.

The Master Emerald is not a prison, but a gateway. It is a bridge between all dimensions in the universe.

His only job, like the other God's is to keep the balance of light and corruption in check. If Oblivion (the God of corruption) gains too much power of a planet or dimension then Ananta will call upon Chaos to destroy it.

Fun fact: Chaos has the highest kill count out of all the Gods.
