Description
I want to see you when starsBloom on the black canvas of March skies.
When we are serenaded by the spring peepers
In the meadow beyond the treeline;
And we can dance to the spring music they make.
I want to take things slowly, languidly.
And count the freckles
On your shoulders and trace the constellations on
Your collarbones.
I want a day when I can just stay there with you for a while;
And we can take things slowly.
We'll talk about Sunny D and smiles and childhood
Passions and about things that make us sad.
We can talk about anything and nothing,
About mythology and salvation or about rubber ducks and steampunk.
Because I just want to know you inside out:
Your values and your smiles and your
Dreams and the way your eyes twinkle when you talk about them.
I want to see you when stars
Fade from April skies to melt into the sunrise
And we have survived the night.
