Story (finally):
So we all know Discord is kind of obsessive over Fluttershy. They're best friends, they hang out all the time at either of their houses, he tries to make her happy, etc. And Fluttershy, well, she may just have to admit the crush she's had on him forever. She takes care of him, overlooks his flaws, and loves his goofiness even though it seems so contrast to how she is. In fact, the way they act with each other, most ponies are surprised they're not together. Well that's about to change... >:] And it's about dang time.

The first thing that became different was Discord. Upon one of his guy nights with Big Mac and Spike, with Big Mac talking about Sugar Belle and Spike still with his mind on Rarity, Discord started to wonder if maybe he was missing out on something. Then he thought the idea of love was too mushy-gushy and gross. And THEN, as he started to notice lots of guys had girls, he began to think maybe it wasn't so horrible. Of course the first pony he thought of was Fluttershy, they're best friends and she's always around. But he brushed it off. Fluttershy wouldn't want him... would she? He started getting insecure. "I'm sure Fluttershy would... no don't be ridiculous. We're just friends, she wouldn't want me. Then who would she want? I bet its Bulk Biceps... that jerk... I'll teach him not to mess with Fluttershy!" And off he went, moody, protective, and defensive. Picking fights with random guys he thought Fluttershy was interested in over him. But instead of getting irritated with Fluttershy, as he would've done in their early friendship, he just felt awkward around her. How should he act? After all, it was her right if she wanted to be interested in somebody else. It made him uneasy and kind of lonely. What if she ran off with some stallion? What would he do then?? Go back to the void of lonely, grumpy chaos? His head was spinning. What was true and what wasn't? He was acting a lot more aloof recently, and weirder than normal. Fluttershy could tell there was something wrong. She tried to sooth him like she would any of her friends or pets. But as she went to pet his mane like she usually does when somethings wrong, he jerked up and was quick to want to leave. "You know what you need?" She asked. "Some time to clear your head." With that, she arranged a secluded picnic in the reserve... for snacks and just to... hang out.

Fluttershy and Discord laid on their backs on the giant quilted blanket, looking at the sky. Fluttershy didn't say much, she figured if Discord wanted to say anything, he would. After a long drawn-out silence, though, she thought better of it, and decided instead to prompt him. "Is there anything I can help you with?" she asked sweetly. Unexpectedly, Discord shot up into a sitting position, and said, "Fluttershy, I-" before cutting himself off. He grumbled, like he was too proud to want to say it, and laid back down, this time on his side, facing away from her. After a few seconds, Fluttershy scooted closer and started hoofing through his mane. "It's okay, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. But if you do, I'm here for you " He turned his head to look at her with puppy eyes. He wanted to tell her something, or ask her something... or... ughk. His head couldn't be cleared up without some kind of feedback from her, could it? How could he word it without giving away that he is finally awknowledging his feelings for her? If she didn't like him back it could ruin everything they'd been through together. "What do you think of... Bulk Biceps?" He asked. That befuzzeled Fluttershy. "Bulk Biceps? I don't know he's fine I guess? Why?" "He's fine? I guess you're gonna marry him then," Discord said, unable to control his jealousy. He rolled back away from her, grumpily. "What? Marry him? I don't even hardly know him?- What's this about?" No answer. Her eyes widened a little as she realized what it could be. She blushed, but he couldn't see her.

"Discord? Sit up a minute." She said. He groaned and didn't move. "Come on...." she insisted, trying to pull him up. He helped let her pull him into a sitting position. He looked at her with sincere eyes, then looked away real quick with a grumpy pout. Fluttershy had to keep herself from a giddy giggle. "What's this about all of a sudden? Are you worried I'm going to leave you behind? Or are you worried because you don't want somepony else to be with me?" She smiled. He pouted with his arms crossed, a little blush in his cheeks. That was new, but Fluttershy for once didn't think twice about it. She was excited that this could be true. And she was almost sure it was. She took his chin in her hoof and turned his face towards hers, his arms still crossed. They stared at each other for a brief moment before Fluttershy built up the nerve and kissed him. A long, but innocent kiss. His arms fell to his side and his eyes widened, his face turning redder than ever. No goofy jokes, no wild reactions, he just sat there and let her kiss him.
After a couple moments, she slowly started to pull away. "Fluttershy...?" Discord said in the most sincere voice ever. Then he took her by the cheeks and pulled her in for another kiss. :3
