"What do you mean we need to rethink things," Quibble said objectively, trying not to let his voice squeak like a hurt puppy.
"Look I," Clear Sky tried to explain as gently as possible, "I know I've been preaching to you all day about not trying to hard to impress Wind Sprint, but I've been starting to think..." She proceeded to lay out how it was maybe too soon after loosing her last Stallion that even if Wind Sprint became ready to move on, maybe she wasn't. "Maybe it'll work out some day," she said. So Quibble wallowed his way in disbelief off the Buckball field and back to the museum.

"Quibble, I've been looking all over for you, you've just been Here? Well I guess I should've known that," Rainbow Dash said walking up to him, staring upsettingly at a collage of Buckball medals from over the years. "What-" she suddenly noticed the tear curled up in the corner of his glistening eyes, "you know Wind Sprint will come around, right? I mean you don't have to-"
"Clear Sky broke up with me," he muttered.
"Over Wind Sprint?" she asked skeptically.
"No, she said she decided she wasn't ready to move on. She said it may work out later but not now..."
"Shouldn't she have decided that before- you know what, nevermind. Are you sure there's no convincing her otherwise?"
"I wouldn't want to try. She's made up her mind and I don't want to be the guy to tell her she's wrong."
Rainbow snickered. "But she is wrong. Look if you don't wanna be the bad guy that's fine, but you can't go into any relationship with one pony thinking they're right all the time. It's unrealistic!"
"I guess you're right."
"Come on, let's get out of here."

RD took Quibble back to Ponyville so he wouldn't have to go be lonely back at home. He stayed with Twilight- her boundless amount of books seeming the most appealing thing at first (and since he couldn't stay in Rainbow's cloud house)- but after a couple of month's Twilight's nosiness and strict schedules, it started getting tiring.
