In this day and age there is no excuse for ignorant comments online, when you can type it into Google or Wikipedia to learn about the subject matter.

For Example

Fools who go around saying that Hollywood 'white-washed' Green Lantern. Considering Hal Jordan has been white sense 1959, and John Stewart (aka the Black Green Lantern) is Hal's Back Up. As long as people want to complain about 'White-Washing' what about 'Black-Washing'? James West (Main Character in Wild Wild West) was White and had been white from 1969 till Will Smith stepped into his shoes. KingPin from Daredevil was also White, as well as Nick Furry from the Avengers. Last but not least Peter Ross from the Superman Series had a race change in Smallville. There was also a little Asian Washing in 'The Last Airbender' when Zuko and the rest of the Fire Nation was turned Asian, when they where he only white characters in the series. (But then again, Aang and the others where turned white, so the whole cast was messed up)

Now I'm not trying to be raciest, but Hollywood does not always change characters into being White, they change them into being both Black and Asian as well.

And that ends that little rant....
