The episode where Pinkie Pie makes that face was aired on the same day Discovery Family had their "Back to the Future" movie marathon.
Both Back to the Future and Who Framed Rodger Rabbit were directed by Robert Zemekis.
I thought about saying "consider the following" at the beginning of this comment but screw it, be happy for what you got Pinkie Pie drama administrators. Pinkie would look even scarier making that face if she were in one of those motion-capture CGI movies Zemekis directed.
