I’d imagine Rani was kinda shy as a kid and didn’t bother speaking out too much, so Kion thought she was a boy until later in their playtime, probably still processing her parents deaths earlier in the year. Also KxR as kinda cute so I think I will keep them as endgame (also also kion is like a mix of nala and simba but has simbas facial expressions so yea)
