Shadow Mega Houndoom Design Contest by Quilaviper

I know not much really changed in regards to Nightflare's overall body, but I could honestly argue that Gardevoir doesn't really change much physically when they Mega Evolve, so there's that. My primary source of inspiration comes from Cerberus, the guardian of the underworld. I didn't want to actually give him two more heads because that concept fits a regular evolution better, so I decided to have the shadow aura take the shape of two "heads". As for some of the aura coming out of his eyes... I just had King Sombra on my mind and I say it fits right in. The Poison typing is a further reference to Cerberus and Houndoom's dex entries on its flames being mixed with toxins.

Dex Entry: Because of the added energy of Mega Evolution, most of the shadow aura of Nightflare has taken the shape of two serpent-like entities. The entities listen and follow Nightflare's orders and when the three attack, the flames could last for hours.
