Another "Four Artists" video in the books and this time, the prompt is "Fiction vs Fact". This time, they were to create a piece of art that inaccurately depicts some kind of Pokemon and then draw what the actual Pokemon looks like - think of those cave drawings and medieval drawings of animals. As you can see, I did the kid's drawing first then drew the Fakemon which has some inspiration from the Loveland Frogman, a folklore creature that stands roughly four feet tall allegedly spotted in Loveland, Ohio. Funny enough, this year, the Loveland frog became the city's mascot and it's dressed as a frog prince, which is also what this Fakemon is based on. All of the bright colors, its patterns, and its typing draw inspiration from both poison dart frogs and psychedelic drugs. Its dex entry referencing single people kissing it not only comes from the modern story of the Frog Prince but from real-life instances of people kissing and even licking frogs. Why?? It also comes from the following quote: "You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your handsome prince." People are really desperate for somebody to love, huh? Also it's using its tongue as a sword literally because I wanted it to. If Greninja can have a tongue scarf, Pryncedeli can have a tongue sword.
