Pieces like this are the reason I use DeviantArt. Watercolours are one of my favourite media, and you've done some great work with them. I especially like the tall, commanding figure in the back.

man, the environment is so awesomely lush and mossy. Digging the pastel colors and shapes in the windows too. I wish I could do that with watercolors. Man. This is an automatic fav.
Also, methinks the shadow with the bright eyes is catching on to our heroes, namely the protagonist with the ornate sword. That's never good.

Hi! awf.. so sorry for so late reply .. but really I didnt know when so lot of good comments apeared on this illustration ..also when this was DD!! ..I mised that -___- sue to hell of a lot of work ..
anyway ..thansk you very much for your comments! .. its not so complicated ..I had inspired a bit by John Howe art .. but really ..its not very difficult ..justaccept what watercolors can give you .. and practice a lot ..
mix a lot dont apply colors , but see how they mix .. and see how they change theyr luminosity -hue when they dry .. and yes ..I use pastel colors too ..also watercolor pencils .. very useful for details!
