The one and only time I've made it to the beach for a sunrise in Sydney! Not having a car here makes it too difficult to get down to the beach early enough for sunrise, an hour on the bus plus waiting times just isn't worth it. That's why I have far more city images than landscapes lately. Anyway, this particular morning I had the chance to head down to Maroubra beach with a friend and fellow photographer - I gladly accepted! The morning started off totally clear until some clouds started to form to the West (the wrong direction to be of any help) but slowly drifted further off shore and right into my composition, shortly after the sun rose above the horizon. I loved the entire rock platform here and think it could offer a lot of great photo opportunities in the future. Gotta get me a car! This is easily my favourite shot from this morning.
