I recently went to Linux From Scratch on my workstation here at the office. On a whim I tried installing KDE 3.0.1, and was surprised at how well it works now. (I was appalled at the lack of performance or reliability in the 2.x series.) I'm probably going to stick with it until Enlightenment has a new release. If ever.

This shot includes XMMS with the Sailor Saturn "Princess of Death" skin, Gkrellm with the new 'r9x' theme, and a wallpaper from [link] . I'm using the 'B II' window decorations and the 'Slick' icon set, both stock KDE 3 material.
