Let me say a couple things first (hopefully I won't get carried away here):

I never played classic Spyro. Ever. Okay, I played MAYBE five minutes of it and got freaked out.
I thought he looked cool. I liked him because he was a dragon. Enough said.

The first real taste I got of Spyro was Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. And I thought it was freaking fantastic.
Not was. IS.

I could explain the whole "flaming new Spyro" thing but I think if you're seeing this you would know. Bottom line is: I never played classic Spyro. The oldest Spyro game I've played is Dawn of the Dragon, which is another freaking fantastic game.
So I don't quite understand what all the ruckus is about. And I would not like it explained to me. If you hate Skylanders Spyro, fine. I don't need to hear it. Just let me obsess over in my little Skylanders corner.

Hmm I think I messed up his colours here. I should have used his belly colour on everything, but by the time i realized something was off, everything else was orange.
Ah well. Live and learn.

So this will be the style I use to draw Spyro now and in the future. I love the design of Skylnaders Spyro and Dawn of the Dragon, so I tried (and failed) to mix them together.
