If it isn't obvious by now...I really like this kind of composition :V
Comparison picture. Because just a side-by-side picture is for lazy people~
On left is show-style Discord, and on right is my-style Discord. Had to actually distort the size comparison between Fluttershy and my-style Discord so he wouldn't look too big :V derp
Colors are different because I used a different source for making a Discord color palette

The second version on the other hand makes me think that if this guy got mad you would want to get out of his way as fast as possible.

Now that I seen both styles. I must admit I like your Discord better. His more elongated look makes him more of an animated character and his massive size does make him standout better. Whereas the show version looks a bit... stiff.

That's one of the things that bugs me about the show >:I They're all so stiff in their movements, especially Celestia. I put it down to the animation being done with puppets, and not hand-drawn like all the old cartoons I grew up with :V

Now that you mention it and looking through your other comics, your design of the characters does seem more fluid and life-like as oppose to the show which does have this puppet quality. Shoot, I think even Beast Wars and Reboot had more fluid movements and they were mid 90's CGAS. Sigh, I too miss the days of quality hand drawn cartoons like Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, Batman/Superman TAS, Gargoyles.
PS, I like how you draw Celestia, she looks more regal, and elegant compared to her show counterpart.
