Description Rocks

Omnipotent Narrator

On a mysterious moon in an unknown galaxy, through happenings only space can explain, the stones walk. The moon is of many shades, a geological oddity . Of the beings that rise from its surface, no two are the same. Comparable to the human existence, these creatures are chained to a definite timeline, doomed to return to their original state. Some fight this law, others embrace it, still others question it. You would think that a planet full of rocks would function in a drastically different way than say, that of a human colony. You would be wrong. Many of the same rules apply, as do the pleasures and pains associated with them.

Naco Nationalist

Its wrong to call us rocks, or stones, as that would be an inaccurate description. We are the Naco, although my true being has no name. We Naco are one with the ground. A connection runs strong, but I feel as though further description would be in violation. Within every Naco burns a fire, the heat of our core and the driving force. Without this fire, then a Naco is a rock, a stone. But while we have our fire we are Naco.

Tech Junky

Of course. Rocks with armor, Is it really necessary? According to the Naco it's absolutely necessary. Not only that, but it looks cool too. Don't think for a second just because they're rocks, cool doesn't play a factor. The Speakers for the southern tribes have armor crafted from raw gems, of the rarest types (I've heard they take their pick of the altar's offerings). The more violent races, not so much in the crystals, but the softer ones, they layer on the metal. You think life's tough in your neighborhood? Try being raised Sandstone. Like Groc was saying, "No cure for a cracked core".

Dr Ren – Field Research Team

Mountain  allowed us to examine the remains of a slain Gran warrior today. I guess they felt bad we lost two more to a barrage. I despise myself, may as well dig a grave and spit on it for the disgust I feel when I say, it was worth it. None of it makes sense, which is perfect. If it doesn't make sense, then it is either something new and incredible, or false and nonexistent. What we found make's absolutely no sense and therefore we are on the verge of a monumental breakthrough. We will be trekking to Relay-one to get out of line of fire for continued research, hear from us in 3 days. PS. Mountain is going to be very happy to have us out. Might want to touch up on relations.

Noxus the historian

Imagine, a planet three times the size of Earth, just a hair smaller than Oden. Now picture this, an ether disruption occurs in the core of the planet, in a matter of seconds the planet explodes. Unfathomable heat, more debris than can be given meaning. Destruction. But the chain of events does not end here. Only moments after the catastrophic explosion, a reverse implosion of a black hole, the black hole having been caused by the initial reaction. Yes, I know, the odds of it right? But it happened! All of the fire, the magma, the dirt, sand, rock, minerals, motion, mass and matter. All of it smashed back together in the blink of an eye. It takes diamonds about 400 million years to form. The diamonds on Kardon formed in half a second.

Grizzled Nacoan Vet

War. It began out of fear of self. War, perpetuated by the curse of imagination. Each battle feeds the core of the beast, each story lends to the next atrocity. We recite the history to our spawn in hopes that they learn. But what do they learn? How to avoid the mistakes of the past in present conquests of their own? There are only examples for war, any example for peace crumbles to dust beneath the tides of stone.

GeoDoc Kharid

A maze of geological wonders, so common on Kardon that they pose more of a nuisance. From preliminary scans we picked up a startling strata. Our bore-probes have yet to return so we can say with no certainty in what order, but the numbers are as follows; 30% solid igneous, indicating incredible levels of volcanic activity. 6% sedimentary. 6%! Thats fresh out of the womb! 14% conglomerate, nearly 22% mineral, roughly 8% unknown, but wait it gets better. 20% bio mass. How and why I've yet to even consider, I'm going to drive myself mad at this post. We need more researchers, and double that in security, but no. We have me. And where the hell did my damn bore-probe go. I'm down to about as many probes as guards, I may start having to improvise.

Speaker Tarocna

What holes do you speak of? Ah, the Wells, yes. A place of great importance to the Naco, the last of the sanctuaries. Many have thought it possible to claim them. Each attempt, met with the force of all stone, living fire. We have no word for it, though it is of greatest importance. The Wells of Kardon serve all living fire. There was a time when the heat of life burned in the cores of every Nacoan, but many chose to corrupt that fire. You speak of unity among us? Yes, the Well's are a symbol of unity, but many have forgotten the meaning. Many harbor smoldering cores, and see each as apart from the rest. Such division exists, I am ashamed to admit.

GeoDoc Jordon

Nesht let slip something about a hard crystal valley. So far, we've identified 3 types of minerals with a more uniform particle structure than diamond, but tests indicate that we've only scratched the surface. Excuse the pun. According to Nesht, unless I bring an army with me it would be a one way trip. He says, If I go just to look, my chances are slim, If I go to take, my chances are none. Every spawnling probably knows what I'm risking my life to find out, but they don't let me near the young. And as for every other Nacoan, it's as if they are holding out on me, waiting to see what I will sacrifice to learn their geologic secrets.

Lt. Commander Holsen

Lt. Commander Holsen, Chief of operations rock side. We do things different here. The I-Sec company takes respect seriously. This is not our planet, we are guests here and believe me, my guys know that. You sit on the wrong rock around the orange glow district and you could get your chest caved in. That's the end of it, so yes, respect comes first. That being said, when there is no other option, these things can be killed. They die like soldiers and their relations mourn their loss. They say the planet shakes when the core of a Noacan fades. It's a big deal, so we respect that too. That's the rule, don't shake shit up. Like I said, we do things different here.

Admiral Kanahn, Fleet Supervisor

Nope. All of it, basically extra weight. We scrapped nav before she even came into orbit, soon as she hit shell-one everything with a magnet went haywire. Scrapped it all, big shit pile lowering our gas mileage.

Pvt. Mullen

Shoulda been off this shiny shit brick 2 years ago. Every quarter it's the same spill, Sgt. Gets on his knees and works me good, promises me it will be the last go, and send me off with a pat on the ass. First one on, last one off, that's what me and Reider used to say, till Reider left in a body bag. Only 6 of the original 10 recon team alive, 4 of those off planet, long gone by now. That leaves me and Sonja. And apparently Sonja's got a rock fetish, so as far as the Sec team gives, I'm valuable. As long as they keep the game reciprocal I guess I can't complain.

Shavkra

Most see value in the trade agreement. Much consideration went into the exchange rate, although some question the legitimacy of values provided by the offworlders. How are we to know? Trust, they say. They ask us to trust in them, trust in the symbols lit across their glowing screens. I urge my kin to question these symbols. Consider the possibility of treachery. Is it not possible that our minerals bring more value than the offworld supplies? Such dealings would allow continual profit, the ability to infinitely source our mineral for no cost. This does not burn well in my core, many stir with the heat of suspicion.

Auten Mariv, Chief Logistics Analyst

Neighbors by galactic standards, just over 2557 light years out. That's roughly what… 17 minutes by DMIR (dispersed matter intergalactic relocation). We could have been there since day one. But alas, light has not evolved to the point that we have. I consider it natures grace, that alien life be given at least a bit of a head start. 2557 years normally wouldn't have been enough to sprout germs. But this is Kardon, and on Kardon normal doesn't apply.

The story hasn't even started yet. Stay tuned
