HAHAHHA SO i was going to pee and stops dead because my cat is sleeping in the sink xD WHICH shes never done before so i run and get my camera and manages to take a shotAND HER EYES GET ALL HUGE HAHAHA it killed me inside.
she can be less scary though

I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed with the fact that you actually made something specifically to spite one person. Actually, I find it kind of funny that you care enough about what I said to be angry and keep re-commenting, and then make THAT. It's funny that you didn't just remove my comment and ignore me if you didn't agree with my opinion. So you started it, got mad because something that lame reached the frontpage. Why should I say I'm sorry? Saying something doesn't belong somewhere can be stretched and skewed to make it seem like an insult, but only if you change what I meant. No, I didn't mean it was crappy, I meant it wasn't art. Explain exactly how a lolcat is art, in a reasonable fashion, and I'll be silent. I won't apologize when I haven't said anything MEANT to be insulting, unless you want me to say sorry for you taking my words wrong. Dude... chill out. It's a picture of a cat in a sink, among an otherwise well constructed gallery. It's already off the front page, but of course she's put another one up thanks to this silly whining. Never mind the fact that most of the stuff she uploads ends up on the front page anyway.

A picture is just as much effort as art is. You may think it only takes a click but it takes atleast 50 photos to get one good one.

Actually, I'm not butthurt because it gets more attention than my art. I don't care how popular my art is. But, either way, did you take 50 photos to get this shot? Doubtful. You probably took 2 or 3 and then slapped some words on it. Yes, some photography is artistic, but this is pretty much the same thing as snapping a picture of yourself in a mirror with your cell-phone and uploading it; no art, just a picture of something.

The difference is that one IS art, and one ISN'T. Even if some people like looking at it, that doesn't suddenly make it art. Drawing an ass of a furry that actually looks GOOD, took EFFORT, is actually anatomically correct; sure, someone may not enjoy that it's an ass of a furry, but they can at least see the artistic qualities and effort put into it. I can't see any effort in this. You saw a cat sleeping in a sink and you photographed it.

Yes, photography can be art. I never said it couldn't. Have you seen some of the photography on this site? Brilliant. Did you look at THIS? This isn't anything like them. This is a picture of a cat sleeping in a sink. There's nothing ARTISTIC about this picture. And what does the rest of your gallery have to do with this anyway?
Also, yes, I am mad because stuff like this, which isn't art, gets so much attention. Not because it gets more attention than me, but because, half the time it gets more attention than REAL art. When I look at the front page, I want to see ACTUAL ARTISTIC PHOTOGRAPHY, not something like this.
Also, is it WRONG to stand up for my opinion that dA should actually have ART on it? Am I wrong for standing up for what I believe?

.....may I comment? umm... why is it so important that this isn't art? I mean many really good artists are submitting something.... that isn't really art, but just for fun! Not everything has to be soooo serious! Some people joined dA because they hav fun with drawing, writing and making photos. This e.g. is something for fun!
