In other news, I agree. I feel like I can't have any pride in a character that isn't purely of my own ambition; while these are cute, I just can't fathom buying someone else's character. It just doesn't feel right.

Yeah. Well, buying is alright,
but I don't feel comfortable using it for art,
I always need to credit the original artist for the idea or design,
and it just seems a bit troublesome to me.
But then again, buying and not using it afterwards looks mean to me, too. So,
yeah. I don't know. :/
